They work better than some commercial Wifi kits! We have 1/4 mile and trees to contend with. They're not brilliant, but certainally work good enough to tx files, but not to compile over.

We tried the original one, and it worked very well! We always get trouble in the summer when the trees get leaves, and our network goes belly up, or very slow.

£7500 tax free from the government. £8500 if I was doing Maths or a science. Then £4000 taxed if I can stick teaching for more than one year.

    J jerry0davis

I'm being made redundant tomorrow. I have been offered a place at a local University to do a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) in Desing and Technology. It's a 10 month uni course to become a teacher. I'll be teaching Electronics with Resistant Materials (aka Woodwork & Metalwork) as my secondary subject. This means I'll be using computers but not programming them anymore!!:cool::(:( Anyway thanks for all the help everyone has given me since this web site started.

Yep, that's the one I'm thinking of getting. I've searched the internet for the best price and the cheapest one I can find is from a local shop as I don't have to pay postage!! Incidentally, why the colour one? Simply as it's the latest model?

It's quite hard to get a 40GB model now, as the iPod photo is being pushed. I may go for the 30GB iPod Photo, and just not use it for photos!

It all really depends on how your PSTN adaptor works. My adaptor appears as a second sound card. I then just simply record from the micrphone on the PSTN adaptor. I use DirectX to record. Can you see an extra sound card on your system? I have another PSTN->IP adaptor that this method wouldn't work for.

I have a similar setup. On my PC the phone becomes another sound device. I just use DirectX's DirectSound to record. The tricky bit is to record from a non-default device. Look at the DirectSound samples in the DirecrtX SDK for examples on how record, and how to set the recording and playing device you require. DirectX 9c SDK[^]. As for button presses the PSTN adaptor has a COM interface that send messages when a button is pressed. Also I use the Microsoft RTC API SDK[^] to make SIP telephone calls. A PSTN gateway is also required.

Also if it is an IP camera, one that plugs into a network port, it will generally have a JPEG file that you can download to form each frame. To download a file from the camera use CWebGrab[^] available on this web site.

  • Windows Installer Conditional Shortcuts
    J jerry0davis

I'm using VS.NET 2003 to create my installation. I wish to ask for the type of installation required using a 3 radio button screen. The property for the radio buttons is called BUTTON3. I then wish to install shortcuts accordingly. As shortcuts don't have a condition property I have created three different folders all called "phone". I then set the condition property for each folder to be BUTTON3=1, BUTTON3=2 etc. The problem I am having is that whatever radio button I choose, I always seem to get the BUTTON3=2 condition installed. Does anyone have any ideas why please? I have tried this on XP, 2000 and 98SE. TIA Jerry

For video capture, and recognition try http://sourceforge.net/projects/opencvlibrary/[^] For just capturing, download the DirectX SDK, and use one of the samples. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4e825a37-0c94-4421-9ec8-156e52525d11&DisplayLang=en[^]

I've got a similar dilema. My current MP has done a lot of good work since elected. He stands for practially everything I beleive in. Great? Hmmmmm. I don't like the party he represents! So do I vote for him, or the party I like the most?
