also don't forget that learning anything to advanced levels requires time and experience, so before you go read a bunch more theory work with it at the level you know and radually push yourself until you hit things you want to do but don't know how to wax on wax off :)

"mostly watching the human race is like watching dogs watch tv ... they see the pictures move but the meaning escapes them"
hey pete :) thanks - it's not me (i've never had a day job) - it's a potential member of a team i'm putting together for a big -ish project and i want to make sure all the bases are covered when it comes to legal stuff i would rather not assume that because his contract doesn't explicitly state x, y, and z, we can use him without an explicit release letter being signed by said employers it is for the text of that letter i was wondering if there are any standard forms anywhere

hey guys does anybody know if there is a standard release type form / language / letter / etc, for a programmer who has a day job but wants to work on own projects in spare time WITHOUT the day job having any claim on the IP for those projects? obviously, the own projects would not be in the same business sphere as the day job, nor would the dev use anything provided by the day job for those projects (hardware, software, etc) - the only crossover would be they are both on platform x (iOS or Android, etc) thanks :)

hey guys not sure if i'm going mad or vs2013 is really weird but... i have an html file that serves as the master page for other pages, and in it there are several script includes like:
thing is, when i start to type another tag to include another file in between the 2 above, as i type the closing double-quote of the text/javascript, the vs editor suddenly pulls the line below up onto this line, removes the opening "<div style="border-removed1px solid #006;padding:0px;margin:0px;color:#006;"> <small><i>"mostly watching the human race is like watching dogs watch tv ... they see the pictures move but the meaning escapes them"</i></small> </div></div></x-turndown>
Los geht's Deutschland! :)

hey guys i'm trying out MVC with vs2013 and liking it but... the EF stuff is not to my liking as it seems really overkill for the sorts of web projects i do after a couple of days of head banging i think i understand the basics enough to build what i want but now i'm kinda stuck on how to implement logins are there any docs that might help? all those i find are referencing the MS solution and hence EF and the whole shooting match - i wanted something more lightweight or some docs on how to roll my own thanks in advance :)
