Pushing the laptop performance envelopeWe've had several Surface devices in our family - used for college and homework. Family loved them. My 1st generation Surface Book is still going strong - was a Christmas present in 2016 (mine is the updated one with Nvidia GPU built into the keyboard).

it's the same code! isn't it?Get up and go for a walk. Give your subconscious a chance to work on it. I've often had the answer during or shortly after a walk that I couldn't "see" before. Cheers!

First image from James Webb TelescopeHubble had a problem with the mirror warping in zero gravity (if I remember it right), so all pictures were blurry until they went up and fixed it via a shuttle launch. I remember a Nasa guy saying at the time "This is why you should never name a project something that rhymes with trouble."

Roku vs Fire StickWe bought the Roku Ultra on Black Friday 2019 and are quite happy with it. Installing apps is easy enough, many times you will need a computer handy to finish registration when you install an app on the Roku. Overall, I've never experienced any performance issues other than occasionally needing to reboot it. Playback is smooth and looks great on our 4K LG TV.

The 10 most dreaded programming languages, according to a survey of 65,000 developersYears ago I wrote a front-end program in dBASEIII that generated AutoLisp scripts to manipulate AutoCad drawings. The engineers would provide a few dozen input parameters, the AutoLisp script was built, then AutoCad was fired up and produce the drawing for them. I remember spending lots of time counting parenthesis and certainly agree with another comment - LISP = Lost In Stupid Parenthesis. The end result worked really well, and I learned how to count really well.

Qlikview - a real pleasure to work withThis will give you the date portion of the string:
LET vTEST = '2018-09-05 13:27:14.5';
LET vResult = Date(vTEST, 'YYYY-MM-DD'); <-- vResult = 2018-09-05Also, 'MM' for months, 'mm' for minutes.
