Why IE Still sucks today... Installed IE9 and still no spell check.Chris, I'm the author of Speckie. The 'other story' is traditional MS functionality; when you click Enable, it doesn't enable it immediately, it marks it as enabled for the next time your start IE.

VS2010 SP1 BUG (or why it pays to wait)I'm C++ 4 Life, YO! I've been coding as hobby in C++ for 8+ years and I still love it. There's nothing like bringing down an app by a misguided pointer ;P

Verisign Code Cert - 1 year for $99 USDI have a certificate from Comodo which I use to sign my modules, so yes, I'm familiar with them. The agreement you're reading, which I didn't bother with because it's usually the same old, is more than likely a 'cover all' agreement which also covers their code signing portal used for Windows Mobile apps. You do get a downloadable certificate after you verify your identity (or that of your company).

Verisign Code Cert - 1 year for $99 USDI don't know where you ended up, but the link I provided, which is from MS, gets you an Authenticode certificate for $99 USD, which you can then use to sign modules. If you don't believe me, go here[^], click on the BUY button, then in the proceeding page, select the 1 year option and enter THEDEAL99 as the promotional code and hit the recalculate button. I got one and it's working as described. Sometimes, things really are what they appear to be.

Verisign Code Cert - 1 year for $99 USDAfter reading Raymond Chen's latest blog entry[^], I looked in to the benefits of a winqual account and found it required a Verisign certificate to sign up (Boooo ). Those thoughtful folks at MS are offering a 1 year certificate for $99 USD[^] instead of the usual $499 USD  Click on the Digital Certificate link on the requirements page for the promo or go directly[^] to it. <disclaimer> For those with a disdain for code certs, don't shoot the messenger ;P </disclaimer>

Something I've been thinking about recently...My artistic outlet is wood working[^]. I do believe it helps with the programming, in that I apply my analytical and mathematical talents to three dimensional projects, whilst also releasing a lot of frustration with a hammer ;P

Secure your PC or lose the internetThe quacks that float these ideas need to look up the definition of democracy. With these sorts of genius ideas, Australia will soon become a Chinese state.

We got a new one and they did not glue it down, so it rocks when you sit down on it.
I've had the same issue. The fix is simple; buy a tube of Araldite, mix it up and put some under the dunny and on the floor beneath where possible and let it set. It won't budge any more unless you do ungodly things on it ;P

New Egg has joined the boycott listFirstly, I commend you on the restraint you showed by considering your kids in that situation. Secondly, I assume that means you didn't sign for it. You now have yourself a free TV. Contact New Egg and tell them you're still waiting for your TV :-D

Trade practicesLodge a complaint with the ombudsman if they refuse to help you. I've found with Telstra, if you can get an aussie on the other end of the support line, they tend to be more helpful. Case in point, my old man went over his quota by ~$700 and I made a call on his behalf. Spoke to a gentleman by the name of David in Melbourne, he wiped the excess usage charge without me even having to argue. It helps if you're calm and respectful when speaking to them cuz they're used to dealing with morons all day long.

Why I hate Telstra today -
I hate thatThat's the reason why I keep my thumb drive on my key ring, so I don't have a  moment.
