I remember trying to learn guitar once and I used something called tabs I think. Just download them and run in a suitable program and just follow.

Learning to play the guitar -
Summer IS here...Maybe you have just gotten more comfy? Not that we have those temperatures here but I remember hot summers, getting in old cars and just toughening it out, windows down and not complaining. Now if the AC is broken in a car you might as well tow it because its useless. ^^ I think a large part is that you adapt to new comfort levels. Same way you adapt to better and faster computers and internet speed. Once isdn was awesome and adsl was the future but nowadays it feels like I'm back in the stone age if I'm not on a fiber connection.

StockholmYou shouldn't have any problem getting around using English at least. While the experience of Swedes speaking might not be the most pleasant a majority will be able to communicate at a reasonable level and for most tech companies it's a demand that they can both speak and read. It's an expensive city when it comes to housing and difficult to find a place to live so you should probably check that out too.

A Career in Programming which way to go!Since you are relatively young if you do start studying I really recommend trying to get an internship or some part time while you study. Not only will that help you get a job but also help you tremendously. It can expose you to different parts of the business and help you narrow down what sort of work you wish to do as well as learn quicker. My take on things is that on hands experience is what teaches you the quickest. As long as you got some decent knowledge of programming and general principles getting some real world problems and learning while solving them will help you learn quickly. I guess this is what boot camps try to solve. Would love to try one just to see if that holds true. :) I think this route works for web development or building desktop applications but if you are looking for a job that really requires the knowledge of a degree in computer science studying for one is probably the right thing.

Thoughts and prayers for all in LondonI don't want to diminish what those affected by this is going through but this was fairly minor. The response this event got is blown out of proportion. Mostly I mean social media. My facebook feed was quite annoying as well as what was published on my favourite meme app. That the news focus on this I can accept but the way a lot of people reacted? I mean not even 24 hours earlier US-led coalition jet bombs school and killed at least 33 civilians? Shouldn't that be considered terror? I'm crossing the line of politics here so I'll quit. My little rant is mostly about social medias reaction. For people close or affected this is a horrific event. But overall for UK citizens their potential fear should be way lower than when IRA was active. Sometimes I really dislike our connected world. I need a bubble.

Facebook iOS app uses 18,000 classes, 429 coders. You do need to have an interface to the interface that interfaces with all the other interfaces.

Win10 Again (sigh)raddevus wrote:
Well, unless Win10 _is_ a virus. :~
By now I thought this was established fact or at the minimal for it to be considered malware. X| There are good things about it, several even yet I still hold off on upgrading because I have enough trouble with w10 at work.

New phone or replace screenBut a screen protector doesn't fix the crack in the screen. Maybe a car glass repair shop could patch it up instead. I do have a protective film on it which is what I suspect kept my screen from becoming useless instead of just slight annoyance.
-
New phone or replace screenOverall I prefer to use until no longer an option, repair if possible. I once tried my hands on phone repair several years ago when my wife cracked thee display of her earlier galaxy model. Several years before they removed the battery cover altogether. I did manage to open it up. Replace the screen and get it to work perfectly. Sadly I managed to destroy the antenna. I don't think I'll buy a new one straight up. Just that I saw the same model for that price while browsing for network hardware. Leaning towards repair but I'm not sure its worth that price compared to the value of reducing my annoyance at the cracked screen.
-
New phone or replace screenI hate buying for the sake of buying. I prefer consuming content instead of hardware but you do bring up multiple valid points. Everyone got to do their part for the economy.
-
New phone or replace screenI'm not going to bother with the back story because cracked displays are all too common. Phone is usable, minimal cracks in a corner but one clean one that goes from bottom right to middle left. Usually doesn't see it but from some angles or depending on colour on lightning it does show. It's going to cost 250€ to get this little mistake fixed... or a brand new s7 for 500€. Live with it (haven't dared to try and see how it impacts VR), repair or get a new? Or chuck it all to hell and just stick to smoke signals?

Digital Pregnancy testsResults are binary. 1 or 0. for some reason these adds popped up for me. Not sure if it's just country specific adds or if I want to know what sort of footprints I've left on the internet.

Free charging stations can hack your phone, here's how to protect yourselfThat's a nice tip, thanks! But be careful! Someone will learn how to hack the battery to hack your phone and since you are aware enough to protect yourself that can only mean you got juicier data.

And you can stop that as well! And on certain apps commentsections people still argue that win10 is superior to win 7. I thought it was pretty clear that it's classified as malware.

Bruce Schneier: The US government is coming for YOUR code, techiesThat's good. I listen to a pod where one guy is named Outlaw so atleast he will be allowed to continue then.

Yay! The real thing! That's one problem. Another is the size of the portion. Here are some jam droplets served on a cracker made of unicorn flour served on top of a small fillet of *protein of choice* together with a spoon full of *random rare ingredient* risotto. But most of these competitions are for top end restaurants where you leave with your wallet empty and stomach hungry after going through starter, main dish and dessert.

Debug this!My first thought when I read the topic was debugging what I've done wrong when the wife is mad. Will need better debugging tools for that.
