I don't see RDR as a classical MMO - it has an online mode, yes, but that's true for almost all games these days. And, according to the counting-strategy of many people: one-two-many, "three" equals "many" :-)

I'm in! I'm totally in. In like... well, I'm in! It's been many years since the last AAA "western" MMO has been released. Looking forward. Totally in the hype. Preps for launch are running! My launch-prep plan (worth a look^^): Infographic: Game Release Prep : newworldgame[^] Anyone else waiting for release?

if google'd all three of them... never heard of any of these and from the screenshots i saw this is almost exactly the opposite of what i want windows to be. No, thanks. But thank you for naming them - as I said - never heard of these and I am always interested in seeing something new. But those... nope. Not for me. If I want something like MacOS i would USE MacOS. Apple-free-zone here. Fruits and electricity are no good partners. Only exceptions are potatoes and lemons.

From what I have seen so far, the centered start menu in win 11 will no longer allow custom grouping, only a group of "pinned" apps but not freely organized. I think this is a huge step back. How is your current win10 start menu organized? do you use the customization features it offers or do you ignore most of the features? To see what I mean, here's my start menu. Start menu[^] How about yours?

Good morning When I logged in today I lost about 100 rep points - If it wouldn't have caused a change in the thousands I might not even have recognized it, but now I ask whether there has been a change in counting? Looking in my rep history I can't see any negative value (do we even have negative rep here? This is not SO - and that's good :)) Anybody else found the own rep points decreased?

Yes i can imagine that its not easy to predict, what substitutions appear "logical" to me - in german it's the "hard" and "soft" version of each, d=t, b=p which get replaced and a=e because in some english words they are close in how they are pronounced ("anger", "entry", "bank", "bench" ..) anyway - for a german speaking mind (ok... maybe just for MY mind :-\ ) it was logical - I told that my family - they all found it amazing and funny :-)

... then this 3-letter-word "bad" has all 8 possible combinations which are actually words again... as a non-native I found that quite funny and coincidentally found it. with b/p and a/e and d/t which all sound more or less similar, we have 3 "bits" which leads to 8 possible combinations: bad-bat-pat-pad-bed-bet-pet-ped and each of them makes sense! ... I couldn't find anything similar in german (my native language) while "ped" gave me this definition from google translate Definitionen von PED Substantiv a performance-enhancing drug. "he's admitted to using PEDs in the past" cheers :-)

No it won't. It will never get done, as it will not get high enough priority to be ever phased in into a sprint. And the testing process afterwards including adapting all automated test cases for ranorex and other tools will cause so many working hours that it will be labelled as "too expensive" and then it will be dropped. In 5 years from now, users will still not know, that "Save" actually sends data to a server

Lucky you. Unfortunately this decision is not up to me. I only have to live with it X|

Honestly... it gets worse and worse and worse with Microsoft. What was wrong with the code analysis in VS2017? * perfectly integrated, just runs with the build * no additional installs (or nuget-mayhem) needed * compiler-warnings and all perfectly there for any logs NOW * "install this extension" _or_ "you can do it as nuget" * give a warning of deprecated analysis in each and every project * go there, click install for this, and configure that * starting time of VS tripled since this crap has been installed OMG really??? In a multi-product environment with 100+ solutions which are opened at least once a week (throughout the team) the nuget-mayhem is no option - we don't want to have 100's of copies of the same crap running around on the dev machines. The CI server plays the song of death The performance is down to the late 90's WHY... microsoft... WHY? Do you really want to push us all to the java world with intelliJ? It was already lightyears ahead of Visual Studio and now you implemented the Hogwarts Express from VS to intelliJ. Good job. I'm totally pissed. Have a nice day :-)

The "next"? Lets survive the current one first... Open your eyes and look around... take a close look at the people around you... See what I mean? :wtf:

My tripod has flexible legs and can be attached almost... everywhere, like a spider. I thought about exactly that... Fix the camera with the tripod so it points 90° down and I just move the album below the camera, centering image after image. That's what I will try in the first step. As app I will use Google PhotoScan and the normal camera app for the first 10-20 photos. Then I will compare the results (I can't judge anything before I tried both in the current light here in my living room) - then I will decide. Thanks for all comments so far!

Yes I use paint.net for years --- this is my program to edit them after photographing.

So, here's my summer challenge. * I can NOT take the photos out of the albums ("scan them stackwise" is not an option) * I bought a camera tripod and thought about camera-copying them Can you recommend me a good app that is capable of correcting those photos? I will use my Galaxy S10e, and the camera is more than good enough, but I heard of apps the can "document copy" things, so they correct rotation and bending. When you make a photo of a sheet of paper, it looks like a scanned document and not like a photo of a document. I tried to search a bit but couldn't find "the one". It's a summer project for me, I have to digitalize about 2000 photos, my daughter will help me, and I have no fear to do some manual correcting or resizing on 2k files. I have time over the entire August (YES I have a loooooooong vacation this year! You are allowed to be envious :-D ) How would you approach that project?
