This mornings update email, I noticed if you hover over the links that instead of linking directly to codeproject.com they linked to the address I gave Probably not that sinister as I have since found that Chris Maunder started codeproject AND developermedia.com

I have had the exact same trackball for years and love it last year the standard left click started to be unpredictable, often double clicking which wasn't helpful Luckily I haven't used the two small insert buttons and when I toook it apart I was able swap the two switches that were on the left side and my main left click is now working reliably again you can buy replacement switches with similar markings but not necessarily from trusted sources I wanted a quick fix and only need the left click button to work reliably Something to bear in mind if yours ever gives problems Edit: if anyone wants to do this, I struggled for a while to get it apart as there is a screw in the middle of the bottom hidden under the label, you need to poke a hole in the label just above the "s" in mouse of the phrase "Marble Mouse USB"

The other similar problem is to not need something for so long that you forget you have it and buy one to do a job Really annoying to find that I now have two when I go to put the new one away

Just to pour oil on the fire :-D I have several PCs that had to be reversed out of 22H2 as they then failed to talk to older machines on the network that couldn't be updated to a similar level Fortunately the reversal is much quicker than the installation In particular client software wouldn't connect to sql server running on an older machine (windows 2003 so very old machine) came up with an ssl error. Reversing the update fixed it

@ListFile is a file that contains a list of all the files to backup, useful when they are scattered about a bit usual gotcha with 7zip is do NOT use -r unless you really understand it. It isn't recurse sub directories but forces 7zip to search the disk for matching file names not as intuitive as it could be

I hope its better than the Windows 11 22H2 update I have had several PCs where the operator installed it and found different applications have failed in weird ways. Although some PCs have installed it without obvious problems In the cases that I referred to the applications went back to working when I removed the 22H2 update

not true, in code with "on error resume next" you can check err.number to see if it is non zero after every statement if you want and also access the error description you can then clear the error (err.clear) and carry on it is a useful tool if used properly

It is possible for this to work properly on Win 10 2 screens and a PC set to sleep after 5 mins. Every time it wakes up I login and all windows are where I left them. using a local non admin account I don't recall having to do anything special to achieve this

lol, single most annoying being the removal of the Task Manager option from the right click menu and outside of that right click on anything else and see Click here for every other option you liked using which we have now hidden another click away Sigh, sometimes progress just doesn't seem to be forwards

I use both namecheap and 123-reg. 123-reg bit more expensive and sometimes have issues but they usually get resolved within livable timeframes although I have come close to walking away a couple of times especially when they move the goalposts on what you can and cannot do with a given package namecheap seem competent, more security orientated and cost less, seems like a win win to me so I put new domains here
