  • Win10 - Ugh
    N ngoj

I fully agree. In addition, todays IT industry tends to produce devices and softwer not for people who do real work. And that is the gigantic mistake in the case of Windows OS. Microsoft CEOs should take in consideration that what works for Apple and Samsung doesn't work for them.

I don't know what did you make or is it any good, but I admire hard work. Making your own program(s) is good attitude for a 18 years old student. Just keep on practicing and some day some people will pay you for it. ;)

    N ngoj

Why did she give her phone number to Yahoo/Google at first place? For safety reasons? Once your/her account data is stolen, the mobile phone number is also stolen. And bad guys from Russia, Mazambik or Serbia can easily make temporary fake phone from there. There is no such thing as security on mobile. Smartphone plus internet equals disaster. Multi-factor authentication is good, yet it cannot help you as long as your internet access point is on public router. Once again: THERE IS NO SECURITY ON MOBILE!!!!!!!!!!!

That is true. They didn't even bother to try fixing this. Nothing. Zero. Null. Instead, they let the internet spread a story how they were hacked. What a lie. Actualy, how do we know is it any better now?

  • How does anyone use TFS?
    N ngoj

TFS uses wrong terminology, as a result it always does something completely unexpected. If you have to use it (company decision) then employees must be properly trained at first place. If the company doesn't do the training prerequisite than the use of TFS is clunky and TFS functionality is limited. Finaly conclusion: run away of it unless your company is (big) Microsoft Partner (or something).

I don't think this is about floors, look at the title again. And, yes of course, you can not learn coding unless you were born programmer. Zero floor approach is a good sign, the younger kid is the one of us!

    The Lounge question

  • Is Microsoft killing off a cash cow / golden goose?
    N ngoj

You'll be surprised how many bad applications you can find in big corporations or government agencies. Once they purchase the application they must use it forever, and that is the main reason why you can see more then one computer per desk. For certain (stupid) tasks they need an old application that can work on Windows XP only. In addition, in huge systems the application division is separated from the admin-security division so the admins have no clue how the new OS would impact the old applications. And never forget this, banks and government agencies can't stop working! Maybe it sounds ridiculous but it is a common practice to buy a new computer with a new OS and retain the old computer with the old OS (for old applications). Changing OS on live computer is almost never an option in huge systems.

You are a lazy ass, that's all. The title "Why does Microsoft do that?" made me to click the link... and what a mistake, nothing really about microsoft in your article. Go troll elsewhere.

How old is your kid? If he/she is primary school pupil then the sign is just a incorrectly rendered multiplication sign. There is absolutely nothing else you can do with c ^ (12/5) and c ^ (3/5) but to multiply them. And solutions are 13) c ^ 3 14) x ^ (21/4) (unless part of formula is missing on right) Or the question was just for laughs ...

I assume you are talking about C# client side comparing with DataTable object(s). It that is the case you should check this: www.dotnetperls.com/datatable-compare-rows

  • In visual studio do you know what the name of this control ?
    N ngoj

Server/html controls are not real controls. Source tags stays on server side and therefore image on client side doesn't help a lot. Instead of this you should check html source and try to reveal base engine(if possible). As much as I know DevExpress is made for ASP.Net and ASP.Net only. If this is DevExpress control then you MUST go to www.devexpress.com, login and post your question there, but ... ... threre is bunch of controls in their package and what is on your picture can be achived on too many ways, so I don't think you are to lucky about this issue.
