    From the article:

Mr Giscard d'Estaing also admitted that, unlike his original Constitutional Treaty, the Lisbon EU Treaty had been carefully crafted to confuse the public. "What was done in the [Lisbon] Treaty, and deliberately, was to mix everything up. If you look for the passages on institutions, they're in different places, on different pages," he said.

:wtf: I'd certainly say no thank you if anyone brought something like that my way.

Most likely they intended to tap the lines, and failed miserably at it. Although I had believed you couldn't tap fiber optic cable, certainly they wouldn't tell us if they had thought they found a way.

Perhaps you've forgetten these parts of the bible: Vengence is mine, says the Lord. Thou shall not kill. In fact, if I recall correctly, both faiths have those in common...

That's me. Or how about when you're counting on your hand, look down, and realize you're working in boolean. Extra points for being in a group where nobody thinks it odd.

You forgot the possibility that the polygrapher doesn't actually know how to run a test. Never assume malice when simple stupidity will do.

Actually, the Old Testament calls for good treatment of strangers, outside of the times Israel was at war. I don't have access to a bible right now, but I know there is a verse somewhere in Deuteronomy (maybe Leviticus) where they are instructed to treat the stranger well, as they were once strangers in Egypt.

I'm not sure that was Stan's point. Prayer in school is about whether or not I can pray in school, or if I can get a group together to do so. No endorsement by any officials. Too much of the time, the answer to that is no. I'm glad that the US does not endorse any single faith. However, too often people will try to use separation of church and state as an excuse to actively attack things they do not like.

America probably could if we really had to. We've got decent reserves of our own. Also, with a proper motivation, we could greatly decrease the amount of oil we use.

I don't think closing the board would be a solution. Odds are he would just start up in another one of the boards, like the Lounge or the General Discussions. Then if you closed those, he'd just spam the programming boards with it all. Until now, while some people have gotten a bit... overzealous in their discussions, it hasn't been a problem. One person shouldn't be able to ruin something like this.
