As a desktop app developer, would you target Mac OS and Linux? -
Duke Nukem. Decisions decisionsI wasted my Steam one-off return to get rid of it. Got bored a few hours into the game, and I'm an avid gamer.

Thanks, Red GateOh, the irony! Thank you for your contribution, I am pleased to see money is not a concern for you.

Thanks, Red GateYou're welcome. A shame, really. :(

Thanks, Red Gate> but if I do some work with sharepoint again I'll want to use it again I'm sure Funny, I had to use Reflector on SharePoint assemblies not long ago. It did help solving the problem.

Thanks, Red GateZDNet article[^] Quoting: [Ed] What about all the people using the free version now. Won’t they just continue to use that? [Greg] This is a common misunderstanding about .NET Reflector and it is something we have taken a lot of flack for in the two and a half years we have owned the tool. .NET Reflector actually has always had a 6 month expiration date built in to each version. Every 6 months or so you need to update to the next version of the software. A lot of people think Red Gate built that expiration model into Reflector but actually it is the way Lutz had run things for the previous 8 years. Forced update; as for bypassing it, it would be oh so bad. For them.

Thanks, Red GateReflector, our beloved Reflector, will never be free again. From version 7 on, you'll have to dish out 35$. I don't know if it's a repost; search didn't produce results. Feels wrong. X|

ACM Digital LibraryBought a paper once; in hindsight, price per page was so high it wasn't really worth it. Were you looking for something in particular?

Progressive Nation Tour 2009...Thanks! I'll be sure to buy a pair of tickets this monday (if there's any left, which I really hope). They don't seem to be expensive. Opeth? I think the same - I just don't like their singer.

Progressive Nation Tour 2009...Lucky chaps we are, aren't we :P Have fun!

Progressive Nation Tour 2009...Very nice! Milan, 26 Oct. That's great, as I'm in Milan for work usually. :-D I'll buy a ticket for the missus as well... she's a fan too, so it makes for a good gift :P

Progressive Nation Tour 2009...Fantastic, I'd love to see them live... haven't managed yet. Their latest album kicks ass, I find it much better than Octavarium and Systematic Chaos (besides a few tracks). :-D

Unbeleivable talent....One of those videos you should not see for your own sake. :wtf:

Ted Neward on F# - dnrTVExtremely interesting. I think this will have plenty of uses in the future. Game developers (or math-intensive app devs) could benefit from immutability and implicit parallelization of some methods. The curious thing is that I'm currently dealing with this stuff and perhaps F# would make it all easier.
