Check the following site to see what your monthly take home pay would be: http://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/[^] Looks like it will be in the region of £2,300 then I would check how much it costs to rent a suitable property in the area - or commutable areas if you have transport or if public transport would be suitable (and that's a big IF in the uk!). The following site might be useful: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/[^] Good luck!

  • NYC- suggestions ?
    R Rob Catterall

The best tip I took (and the best tip I would give) would be to go up Top of the Rock. I would do this instead of going up the Empire State building - the lifts (and the elevators :o) ) are SO much faster plus you get a fantastic view of the Empire State building itself and of the Park. We stayed in the W off Times Sq, I thought it was great although we did get a large discount! Other things I did on my last trip: Oyster bar in Grand Central station is really good Walked across the Brooklyn bridge (we got a taxi to Brooklyn and walked back as it was bitterly cold) Went to see AvenueQ Proposed in Central Park :o)

Try the SendToX powertoy. When installed, right-click on your files and choose "SendTo >> Clipboard (as name)". Paste into excel - if you don't want the full path, a simple find and replace will help

  • Problems Being Proactive
    R Rob Catterall

When I was looking for work last year, I did searches on www.yell.co.uk for businesses in my area that might use my services. I either rang them up or looked at their websites, several had recruitment pages. I began searching in my town, then local towns and then the county. I mainly had knockbacks or found that the offices in my area were just sales offices but it's worth a try. In the meantime, I found work by posting my cv on several recruitment sites, the best of which was www.planetrecruit.com as I got lots of calls from agencies that had seen my cv. Best of luck, Rob

  • Event handling
    R Rob Catterall

Hi Andrew, I do this by using the Properties Window (under the View menu). Choose the .h or .cpp file of a class then open the Properties Window, there are 3 buttons which allow you to see Events, Messages and Overrides for that class. Hope that helps, Rob
