Which Richard MacCutchan are you? I see two with McCutchan, but I trust you to spell your own name, so none of those?

My wife would be the finger-pointing one on facebook. And I would be listed in her friends thingy. Sorry, still getting used to facebook. And thanks :)

I know. We had a few kids there who were burning to get back for Halloween. In Germany, can you imagine. It only is fair they start selling the "autumn candies" the week before. Wait a few years and we will have baby angels for scares...

Probably a fake. Should be easy, since the image is b/w and so grainy - and the scene remains the same. But I love the clip anyway :D

Dammit. I almost forgot to tell you guys: The future misses lost the "future" part on October 31st. She now officially is Mrs. Kabukcu-Schneider (easy to tell which part came from me, huh). We have pictures on facebook, so if any of you start looking for Sebastian Schneider from Cologne, you should be able to add me and watch the pics (if that is how facebool works. Haven't got iz all figured put yet. Or you start searching for "sebastian-dot-schneider-iconic_famous_mail_character-gmx-dot-info". Without the " and -s and with the right character substitutions, please. And thanks in advance for all the praise. We appreciate your thoughts, but will be om our honeymoon-introductionary-wellness-stay in the coming week, so don't expect me to answer. Post like hell, though! Cheers from Cologne Elif and Sebastian :D -- "If it was two men, the non-driver would have challenged the driver to simply crash through the gates. The macho image thing, you know." - Marc Clifton
Posted a reply to my original posting.
A little more explanation for the image part: Each eye, left and right, has a unique field of vision. The picture under http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Datei:Netzhautlk-polarp.jpg&filetimestamp=20070823190738 illustrates the field of view for a left eye. The yellow line shows the basic field of view, which partially overlaps for the combination. There are more pictures in the German Wikipedia, but I cannot find the image being used in the English version. What I am trying to do: I want to show people what the overlapping area looks like for me. Both images should have the same intensity in the resulting image, with the central overlapping area showing both images like they were evenly important. This is hard, because I cannot just blend them over. In addition, I want to show what the combined image with one eye under foil looks like. The right image is, basically, brighter and less visible, because the image makes less sense for my brain. The left-side image is sharp, but partially overlapped by the milky right-hand image. Especially the center is still a place where both images are present, but the milky foil makes it easier to concentrate on the left side image without having to shut an eye. However, the images I posted were the best I could do. I will try and answer any additional questions. Thanks a lot for everyone trying to help!
I am going to post a more detailed explanation later on. In this thread. Stay tuned.
Hi all, just dropping by to tell you all that my decreasing hearing and vision have officially been attributed to the tumor. It has probably increased it's size and damaged parts of my brain. I have trouble telling letters apart, hearing, and I am seeing double images. Speaking of double images: On my blog lebfuerdentag.blogspot.com, I have posted images of how I see. However, I have some trouble reaching the desired results: The two images are of the same intensity, but I can't find the setting in the GIMP to achieve that look. Can anyone help? I'd be happy to describe what I see in more detail. Otherweise, keep those thumbs pressed for me... Cheers from Cologne Sebastian
I got the results from my MRT yesterday. It isn't quite clear if it is the tumour or a side effect of the radiation therapy, but it seems there are several lesions in my brain, involving the Corpora Quadrigemina. Well, those aren't really results, more like educated guesses, because the images remain unchanged and the blood-brain-barrier still seems to be mostly intact. Well, that is all for now. I'll be seeing my eye-doctor on the first, my neuro-oncologist on the seventh, visit Berlin on the 10th and get married on the 31st. No changes here. To all of you: I have nothing but the outmost respect for all of you who care and reply to my increasingly desperate messages. I won't give up, but it is taking its toll. Sebastian
You should talk to your lawyer. I think he sent that one already...
You cannot break statistics down like that. I, for example, have a 99% chance of NOT making 40. And, to make things worse, I have less than 50% chance of making it another year, thanks to the big C. I am already cheating the big fellow with the scythe. Think about it: for males, from (for example) 16 to 25, it probably is more like ~15 / 1000. The same is true as we get older. So, most people here are in the prime of their life. I'd say: more like 5 / 1000 here. Or even less. However, if I don't show up for a few months, you're invited to ask for my current state.
as Granny Weatherwax would write on her "I am out borrowing"-sign. However, I felt quite close today when I collapsed while putting stuff in the dishwasher. Of course, the first thought was: "The cancer has won!", but I refused to give up and called my s/o, who called an ambulance while still on the train. I couldn't call them, because dialing 112 was too complicated at that time. Instead, I used "redial". IT was like a forward looping feels ("Purzelbaum", for those who speak German) but faster and longer. However, all vitals were normal by the time the ambulance crew got me to the hospital (120/80 bp, 80 pulse), after being wide into red during the ride (167/112 bp, 160 pulse). And, fortunately, it seems unrelated to the tumour at this time. So I am back home. I refuse to let that sun-on-a-beach tumour defeat me. I won't give up. Just wanted to let you know: I am still ticking. And if you haven't donated for LIVESTRONG yet, do it. I did it the moment I saw the remark!
So, I got to share my twin? :( Seriously, what's twin sharing?
If software brings it own version of the runtime, it is usually stored in a subdirectory of the applications main directory, most probably named "JRE" or similar.

You could try to use hardware diagnosis software to find out the manufacturer and model of the board, then look that one up on the web.

I am getting married on October 31st. Similar thing, though my love has received German citizenship already, so everything got a LOT easier. We already spent 500€ in fees alone, not including the citizenship-thingy, the wedding is gonna be "small", but still... The titanium-ring-thing above sounds reasonable for me, but then I have a gold-coin that I was thinking about turning into our rings somehow. Then I found out that this is gonna be more expensive than buying a "pre-manufactured" ring.
