    What makes you think that?

Very few people that I have seen get Covid (which is a lot) have had anything severe. In fact, I think covid already went through our family but we weren't tested.

That has not been my experience but your point is valid.

Not quite. We don't inject ourselves with something that could kill us or make us sick when we put on a seatbelt. A seat belt is a passive aid, whereas the vaccine is an active one with potential negative consequences.

Is it? Maybe. Why? (In your opinion) I never have gotten the seasonal flu virus and when he told me how long this stuff lasts, I thought of the regular flu.

I finally bit the bullet and got the first dose of Moderna Covid vaccine today. I asked the guy how long these vaccines will protect me and he said after the 2nd dose I should be protected for 4-6 months. What!!??? That's it? :omg: :omg: So, I doubt herd immunity will ever be reached by way of vaccines. It's hard enough to get people to vaccinate but now you want them to do it every 4-6 months? It doesn't feel like it's ever going to happen. I'm not sure it's even worth me getting the second dose now. If I do get Covid, it's unlikely to be bad. And he said natural immunities from getting Covid only last 3-4 months. Crazy.

I've been doing web dev for many years and all I ever add is jquery and a common js file. There's no need to build your own ui framework. Keep it simple.

Hard to know for sure. There was just an article a couple of weeks ago that 100% of people in someplace in the UK that had recently gotten COVID were vaccinated. I don't remember the details.

It's very easy to tell if a parachute is to blame for someone falling to the earth and dying, knowing if a drug killed someone is much more difficult and there is a number of deaths that is considered allowable before it becomes a problem. Apples and oranges.

It's not clear if you understood what I meant to mean. But from your response, it would appear that you think most of the voters understood exactly what they were voting for. Surely you do not believe that, do you?

the bit I bolded before I'm having trouble reconciling that with your statement about a small cabal being actually responsible for this.

Because all the voters voted for was "treat pigs fairly." None of them actually read the bill and understood how many square feet would now be required under the new law and what the other provisions were and even if they would have, they wouldn't have know what the current provisions were nor what it would cost or take for a farmer to meet the new provisions.

In my opinion, just JavaScript is not enough to know to be able to do much of anything. I would suggest learning backend technologies as well, maybe some php or .Net.
