Lossing that many drives is definitly above average and unless you have a rediculus amount of hardware in the box a approved 400 Watt should be plenty. I have a 300W in one machine and a 350 in a second with only losing one Maxtor in the last 4 or 5 years. So I would suspect your enviroment. Can you check your voltage coming in? Is there anything that is preventing circulation in and around the case? I have one friend who has lost 2 drives and one CPU this year. I finally checked the voltage coming in and it was 132.5 volts (vs 120 base for the US.) With no UPS (which may not have handled that big an overage) the powersupply jsut could not adjust. If fact, temporary cursor are restored as soon as the mouse is moved (see SetCursor doc) and in pratice, it means that the cursor will be restored if windows messages are processed which may be the case if something with a message loop is called (COM apartment switching, message box,...). The only way to ensure that the wait cursor stay displayed is by calling something that will do a permanent change of the cursor (or also by processing WM_SETCURSOR) or by associating a NULL cursor with your window. In MSDN documentation, it is said that the cursor must be restored if an operation cause the cursor to be changed (see CWaitCursor::Restore). Philippe Mori
