Vote to remove his message. The more we exercise this option the easier it will be.

Hi Chris, I agree, and I appreciate the efforts you and your team has been putting in. However, in case of "abusive" message (I am not referring to the one suggested by Trollslayer, as I am not aware of the same), I myself can remember clicking that option for several messages, where the language was abusive. However, the message was never removed. Is it like, the message would be removed only if 10 people report or so, I feel, in case people have reported the message, it would be good if any of the moderator has a look at it and then takes appropriate action.

Dear friend, India is a huge country, and the term "geographically close" is more relative term. If a person in Bangalore/Chennai is geographically close to the person in Delhi, then, I feel, even person in London is geographically close to person in Madrid

I guess I have an idea who Ian is. If my guess is correct, he is Indian. This is just wild guess based on the frequent use of a particular 'smiley' by Ian and one more person in GIT

I agree with you, however, I feel on this global forum there should be respect for other CP Members sentiments as well. I also believe CP Members should not "abuse" any community. I am happy if you feel that posting such derogatory remarks against one country is fine and such practices should be encouraged, however, in that scenario, I would prefer to have single/consistent yard-stick, in the sense, if an Indian is posting any comment against western countries, his message should not be "down-voted" and deleted from the forum.

Arindam, I can show you several cases in my organization and even my previous organization where a lateral SE is paid higher than SSE or an TL getting paid higher than Manager. I opted for Opportunity over Pay, because, honestly speaking, I would not prefer to work on Outdated technologies or to do Mechanical work for higher pay. Anyways, it is an individual perspective, and I respect you perspective/opinion. :)
