MS architects were too narrow mind when they allow so much in Win. 1. Any app can intercept keyb focus. WHY?? I'm busy w Word, I don't give a hell IE cannot connect internet! But no, idiotic message will appear above the word and annoy me. 2. Any app can intercept DLL calls. THANK YOU for this Mars-size hole, MS smarties!! 3. Global keyb shortcuts. Again, nobody use 'em! Who the hell will remember all those Ctrl+Alt+FCKMETWICE, especially when they can be THE SAME in different app?? MS are such a clowns!

When you do smth small, it's not necessary to select "small tools". Why not use MS SQL Express? First, it's small too, but power inside is same as "adult database"! Plus it's good experience for commercial development.

Don't ask MS "why you give this name?" :) MS always fail here (like naming responsibility were given to mexican hobo). Add here that .NET itself is a "renamed Java" with appropriate legacy. And only years later MS made .NET "as it should be", but legacy classes still here. That's why we have Array completely incompatible with simple List<>. Don't ask, just ignore. :)

Don't be confused, bro! Studying C# is VERY good idea! You not only study programming itself, but will have PRACTICAL and POWERFUL language in skills. C# is "hard" only if you take all features at once. But if you simply create 10-lines helpers inside Main(), it's EASY! :) Everything depends from teacher - if he is professional, studying can be cool. I support C#!

Well, I agree that LCD become bigger and better density, but... I'm such an old guy who still uses Win7 and has NO ANY WISH to move on win10 cr__p. And Win7 - you know, its interface is best looking at normal 100% scale at 90dpi. And there ALL windows software (inc. which I make) works perfect.

I avoid MAUI. It's former Xamarin, I don't want to deal w "hobby" projects, bloated till "enterprise library". And hell, old good WinForms still service very well!

It's clumsy try of indian dancers to repeat success of MS Java creators. Never happen again. .NET (being just virtual machine) was created.... WINDOWS ONLY(!). Unbelievable stupidity. But too much time past and too much code is done. WinForms STILL the best solution for "graphics intensive" apps. WPF still slow, because of many technical issues and architecture. What you expect from company, where 99% of the personnel are indian dancers?? :))) They have literally one working guy and he is.... GRAPHICS DESIGNER! :) As a small proof of that: When I asked 'em to improve intellisense, they told me... "WRITE YOURSELF AND SHARE!". Can you imagine that?!? Me. Alien to the company guy. Write for free important, serious code. And they take it in a product. Hell, gimme all your salaries, loafers! THEN I'll consider what's better - to write code inside your ugly designed VS (I mean API) or write new IDE from scratch.

If POSIX was so big deal, we didn't have to have all those compilation problems! EVERY single package under Linux even between linuxes cannot be compiled w/o issues. And that I speak about SAME COMPUTER(!) - same CPU/arch etc. So don't say "POSIX", it means nothing. Windows is a separate platform, it never tried to be compatible with anything. Yes, Windows also have sockets! Moreover - we have IIS under Windows Server! :) And hell... nobody complained before "sockets under Windows is something unusable/inconvenient/clumsy". Just drop your ridiculous C++ and use C#, Nemerle, D, lot of 'em! Even Ruby is way better than C++.

Unfortunately, EVERY single guavament did everything to EXTEND(!) period of flu - yes, by these lockdowns, "sit at home" and other idiocity. Anyway, more than a year past since the first mass flu. What you think, will vaccine from "previous year stamm" helps today?? Did you hear anything about mutations? COVID mutates (as any normal flu) and when you become infected - just question of time. EARLIER IS BETTER, because all of us must at once get this crap and heal. Only this way we can eliminate virus in a shortest period.
