Yep, Palin certainly does remind me of a small yappy dog. A small yappy dog would make a great vice president. Probably over-qualified for the job though.

Where do Islamic terrorists get so much money and weapons from?
Traditionally, from the good old USA.
I thought they were all dead. If not, then they should be.

Maybe, but in the end... both the pot and kettle are black.
True, but it is the pot that is the hypocrite

Note that the Government typically spends about 4x this on Medicare.
I am sure that is true. Your point is?

Sheesh! Why are you Australians so arrogant to think your way is the only way to do anything?
Why does this question remind me of "Pots calling kettles black"?

"FOX News" Need to say more?
You could say more: Fox gets quotes from some clown at the Cato Institute!!! The article says nothing newsworthy. It's a piece of internal propaganda to make those poor US citizens feel better about their country falling apart while they spend their tax dollars on wars they can't and will not win.

I pay an extra 2% Medicare levy on top of my taxes.
Only 1.5% Quote the ATO:
Medicare is the scheme that gives Australian residents access to health care.
To help fund the scheme, resident taxpayers are subject to a Medicare levy.
Normally, we calculate your Medicare levy at the rate of 1.5% of your taxable income.

My "conclusions" are based on the 44 years of my life coupled with my own weight problems over those years. I lost 80 pounds when I finally started to give a damn.
So My conclusion should become: Americans are fat because they all behave like Mike Mullikin who took 44 years to give a damn. My conclusion that Americans make stupid generalizations will never change.

The wife and I were walking around a local festival a few weeks ago and she pointed out a few in-"duh"-viduals who must have weighed 400+ lbs. They were barely able to walk and looked quite pained to be doing so. Each was clutching a big bag of greasy, high calorie, high fat food. To me, it's quite obvious that most of the truly obese just don't give a damn.
So based on your observations of two overweight people at a festival you expect us to believe overweight people "don't give a damn"? Of course if it was a festival like those in my home town then there would have been an abundance of health foods available. My conclusion: Americans are fat and make stupid generalizations.

In Nine months we'll have a self confessed terrorost running free around our country David Hicks gets 9 months[^] You dont have to be a cinical person to question the timing of this
Yes it's good news for Hicks and for Howard. I do think your message is to subtle for the non-Australian readers here. I live in Adelaide and after reading today’s newspaper, I feel that there is a lot of empathy for Hicks in his home town. People here just don't believe the so called intelligence reports which claim him to be the number one westerner in the al-Qaida organization. It is a bit like believing in the “Iraq has WMD” lies. He did confess to providing material support to a terrorist organization, which is very honest of him, after all, the American CIA supported Osama bin Laden and look at all the terrible trouble they got into!!!

Absolutely. Sadly, Christians are an easy target.
Christianity is an easy target, and so it should be. The Bible is considered the most reliable source of historial information availiable by any serious academic researching the western mediterainian region at and around the time of Christ. There is nothing hidden or mystical about Christianity it's histroy and belief system is there for all to see and criticize. Christians are an easy target. I agree, those that don't understand the gospel and judge and condemn leave themseves, and others, open for acusation of hypocracy and worse. This is indeed sad. Christians are to lead people to Christ not condemn them to hell.

What about fake boobies. I suspect he would know a little about them. Wouldn't his brain and the boobie be made of the same material?

People who dont live in that shit hole you call the good old US of A.
Well, just think about all of the innocent people of the world who have had the lives stuffed up by that man and his brainless buddy Bush. I guess if we are going to remain in the "Coalition of the willing" then we have to be willing to bend over and have our internals examined every now and then. I remember the same sort of thing happening in Adelaide when we had a visit from the last war criminal that needed the public kept at a distance. That was Rumsfeld but he resigned before he could be brought to trial.
By that definition Bush is a terrorist, but that is not news.

Is there Oil in Fiji? No.. Then there would be no humanitarian reason to do anything. Would there, Mr Bush? Mr Howard? Any western leader?

I think he is really Labor's answer to Howard; smart enough to keep himself out of trouble, not likely to scare people much, with enough spine to differentiate himself from Howard, and with the energy and intellligence to come up with enough policy initiatives to give people a reason to vote for him.
I hope Rudd can beat Howard at the next election. I think Howard and Bush want this war to go on for as long as possible. Howard has learnt a lot from Bush, keep your population in a constant state of ignorance and fear, (The Americans call it freedom), and they will vote for you craving a feeling of comfort and protection. Howards first experiment was the Tampa, that went quite well for him and he has just rolled on from there. I have read so much crap about the justification for the invasion of Iraq in this forum. I think Rusian President Putin (sp?) has it right. Or do you think George W just wants to pretend he has a bigger dick than Daddy?
