What are you trying to do? If you want the dialog to not close when the user presses Enter/ESC, don't use PreTranslateMessage() which is too low-level. It's not specified what the confirmation box will look like or how it will work. It's up to the browser to offer the message to the user and give the user the opportunity to choose. It's not at all certain that it should be in the form of a dialog box, just because that is the most common solution at the moment. I think the buttons can be made curved using SetWindowRgn(...). You can first create the region using CreateEllipticRgn(...) or something like that. If the result is not what you want then combining regions with owner-draw buttons will do it. There are lots of owner-draw buttons here on CP. this is this.

Another way to do this is to create a separate configuration for unicode debug. In that configuration link your unicode libs and that will work. Similar can be done for Unicode Release. Regards,
