  • RESTful API practices in the realworld

Is it ever really appropriate to create resources on a GET? I've received the answer we've done it this way for all these other situations and "the UI shouldn't have to make extra calls" If I'm setting up a user in a 3rd party system is it really bad to be making a separate call to make that integration with our system? Either I'm missing some kind of RESTful wisdom here or we're keeping the UI lighter from responsibilities it should bear. I'm not really sure which here.

I'm calling BS on that. I've worked for banks since early 2003 and that's complete BS. They weren't forced to do anything. Listening to these people and how they view depositors is sick. They really do hate their customers. BOFA and CitiBank have basically gotten so big that no part really knows what the other part is doing. Saw it every week I visited as a consultant.

    pointers and the multiple inheritance

I don't use C++ anymore, but most people don't really need to know what they are since they're not doing very complicated programming. Most programming, at least what I've come across, is very simple and mundane compared to what is possible. How much are you going to use pointers as a percent of the programming needed in a website, etc. You're going to write a lot more html than anything else. I'm not saying you shouldn't, just that most don't since its not used as much as other programming. I'd like to see more programmers understand it, but it's not likely. I've heard a lot of theory learning downers and concept downers here.

People forget that, but then again like so many excuses both here and everywhere else, "Not my problem" is the answer to both not caring or supporting change for good of all. Secretly down inside places they don't admit to, those people want to be just like them with lots of money and just as many excuses to step on people. I usually try to keep in mind, the depravity of humanity has no limits. Call it an expectation of behavior. Civility gets stepped on whenever survival is necessary by the one or ones most willing to go down the rabbit whole of depravity.

The same can be said for any famous person. For example: The Pope, Jesus, Micheal Jackson, Princess Diane, all the Kennedys, Ronald Reagan, Kirk Cobain, The Beatles, etc. If there's anyone else I haven't been able to offend I made a mistake. These "sacred cows" are no different, just differ between people. People usually praise them for what they've done, but worshship them for it dismissing the idea that they have just as much potential. Some are just attention whores while others are just business people.

I heard a man once say that the actions of man shouldn't be construed as acts of god. I say he's full of sh*t and so is the idea that the Pope can't be arrested. We've tried heads of state for war crimes before and their subordinates. Do I think the Pope will, no. To many vested interests in the scam of religion. If you don't believe in child molestation you shouldn't be a member of the catholic church. If you do you're a hypocrite and a supporter of it.
