So some pointy eared busy body objected to a bunch of people talking religion in a mall, what a crock. Don't these security people already have the power to throw the guy out for offensive behaviour, so he was not even doing enough to irritate anyone but this religious prude. Never underestimate the power of human stupidity RAH

CaptainSeeSharp wrote: Yeah, I burst people's delusional bubbles, get them to see that the world is not a fantasy land where the government is the provider, and where there is no evil other than some petty robber. This may come as a shock to you, but the vast majority of us already know that. I daresay that very few people anywhere in the world actually trust their government to any large degree. But most of us still recognize that as bad as government can be, it's a necessary evil. If not for government... There would be no military and we'd likely be the subjects of one foreign regime or another There would be no system of roads for us to travel upon except maybe toll roads There would be no regulations to help ensure the safety of people in the workplace There would be no laws governing the quality of whatever meds you ingest each day No judicial system to allow you redress of grievances No system of laws to (try to) enforce civil and safe behavior No garbage pickup No city water Etc etc etc As to delusions, I hope you continue to enjoy yours. :)

These terms have changed over time, for whatever reason and by whatever means, and have taken on new meanings. Current-day liberals, our President included, have to a large degree embraced Socialism. That's not conspiracy theory. All you need do is look at their track record. Regardless of how they identify themselves, they are what they are. My advice to you would be to quit worrying over how lefties and righties label themselves and concern yourself instead with the issues that matter to you.

But how exactly does this destroy the DNA, Captain Brain Fart? Does it dissolve the hydrogen bridge bonds between the DNA-strands, does it prevent complementary base pairs from bonding, does it disintegrate the phosphate-desoxyribose-backbone,... What does it?? For once in your miserable lifetime, do not repeat what the internet pours into your drug-desolated mind, do not just answer with more links Ah, know what? Forget it. Waste of time. There was actually a case in Weld Co., Colo., where a priest and a couple of nuns scaled the fence around one of the sites and poured blood (or fake blood, or something) onto one of the silos. According to the press at the time they were greeted by security personnel and a Bradley armored vehicle within 15 minutes. The AF actually increased the rate of their drills quite a bit over the last couple of years. There was an incident a while back where there was a fire in one of the launch control centers. It did quite a bit of damage, including cooking off dozens of shotgun shells stored in a security area. So you had all the violence and mayhem of a fire fight occuring inside one of the control centers... and no-one know about it for a week and a half. :omg: After that, they started drilling more frequently. You're making a mistake here, people care about football. As sad as it is, only a relative few care in the least about politics, otherwise we would have riots and a mass migration of liberals on Bush's second election(rather than some protests on the first). Can't say I'd have missed those who threatened to move, but it certainly didn't happen. That, and anyone who riots over them building this deserves to be whacked upside the head, call yourself American and demand someone else can't have their rights because it makes you uncomfortable.

An ECONOMIC event would depend on the significance of the country's economy, at least in my opinion. That has nothing to do with a heat wave. Are you going to start equating economics with climatology now? Proud to have finally moved to the A-Ark. Which one are you in? Author of the Guardians Saga (Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels)

CaptainSeeSharp wrote: tax should be on the markup only And that won't work. On each transaction involving VAT there is always an INPUT VAT and an OUTPUT VAT in each of the processes within the life of those goods. The difference between OUTPUT VAT and INPUT VAT is what is either paid or reclaimed from Government at EACH stage of the process. The markup represents what the profit (or loss (as you know some goods are loss leaders)) would be required from the transaction and NOT the VAT due/refunded. CaptainSeeSharp wrote: And I think the final price on the price tags of goods and services should include the tax. So my calculations were spot on. Go invest in a calculator that gives you the correct answers  However, that's me done this thread :)
