Good. I'd say it's high time for everyone to wake up. I didn't pray for it, though maybe it couldn't have hurt (or helped lol) Josh Davis Always looking for blackjack. Or maybe White Frank. One of the two.

They changed their name 21 years ago. Obama is over double that? I know that I didn't start seeing BP signs in Chicago until well into the 90s. The gas stations there only change signs if the old one falls apart, they have a remodel, or they change companies. It could be an old habit or trying to distance this from a US company. Either way, he's taking heat for this and he's trying to get rid of it. If I have accidentally said something witty, smart, or correct, it is purely by mistake and I apologize for it.

RichardM1 wrote: someones property Well, it was common property (as is much of France in fact, where the forests and scrub land are owned by the commune, or parish if you like) and so free for all to use. As for a stranger wandering through, and camping on it, or sholoting a rabbit for dinner, I am fairly sure the locals wouldnt get too pissed off. Of course if an entire tribe moved in and started to use the land things might get a bit heated, but that is human nature. What DID happen was the worst. The rich local bigwig just fenced the land off and called it his, and then prosecuted anyone who went on it. ANd that is quite a different story. He has made other doctrinal assertions about tongues whose basis I do not understand, but that just means I don't understand them (until after he explains, then I can say if he is wrong or not ;P ) fat_boy wrote: You say it is given in order to preach and IS comprehensible by some. I say it, but I am trying to describe what the Bible literally says, not interpreting it, about Pentecost. fat_boy wrote: Interesting difference, and implies aquite a lot. There are differences that matter, and differences that don't. The Bible, as far as I know, doesn't require us to agree on the "don't" category. You say I have to speak in tongues if I'm saved, I'll argue about what the Bible says. You tell me works are required to be saved, you might as well be talking about Zeus, because that is not what the Biblical God says. fat_boy wrote: Have to get you and Christian to battle this one out, it wil be interesting. I don't think I'm up for doing that in public. I'll crush someone's argument (or get mine crushed) in public, but that is just arguing. This is a little more delicate on both sides. It won't get either of us sent to Hell, but could really piss someone off. As you are quick to point out, this isn't always rational. Sorry. Opacity, the new Transparency.

I thought it was hilarious. Humour is often a mechanism used to deal with tragedy. That doesn't mean he thinks the actual oil spill is funny. Christian Graus Driven to the arms of OSX by Vista. Read my blog to find out how I've worked around bugs in Microsoft tools and frameworks.

The reason the Dutch are voting right wing is to protect their attitude of tollerance because the massive immigraiton and subsequent strength of Islam, a notably intollerant religion, is changing Holland in a way in which ordinary people dont like. Dont appologise for having respect for your own culture, and the Dutch shuold have a lot of respect, since it has for centuries been the most modern society on earth, in many respects. And just because the Nazis existed 70 years ago does not mean right wing parties are inherently wrong. And also dont forget it is our fear of being seen as right wing that has allowed liberal attitudes to prosper that have generated this backlash: For example, when the state didnt react to Muslims protesting with 'I love AlQuaeda' head scarves in Britain, then the British reacted, by voting right wing and electing BNP members to the EU parliment. HAHAHAHAHAHA Yea, cause all those idiots claiming Obama was anti-gun were right. He immediately got rid of anything he could. Here's one to look at: A group of people claim that the President will get rid of guns. These people are all gun store owners. So a bunch of idiots go into their stores and buy guns, just in case. These gun store owners therefore get rich. Conspiracies are much easier to find if you look in your back yard. Not exactly sure how a guy who's job is to sign bills manages to bankrupt me or make me do anything, but apparently he has super powers. How anyone knows who I voted for, and why they'd hate me when over hlaf of them voted for the same guy is beyond me. I didn't vote for a guy with heart conditions that had a complete moron as a runningmate, and I sold out the country? CaptainSeeSharp wrote: You are a piece of crap. Feel free to look in the mirror. So you won't actually stand up for anything, but you expect other people to do it for you? Grats on being a coward. How's it working for you? If I have accidentally said something witty, smart, or correct, it is purely by mistake and I apologize for it.

CaptainSeeSharp wrote: Well, you are going to have to put up taxes, cut government spending, and raise interest rates, as do all of us, and it has nothing to do with Austrian school of economics and everything with Keynesian economics. It has to do with central banks flooding the world with cheap currency and credit, and governments and private sector taking on massive debt (with the help of the central banks flooding the world with cheap currency and credit). None of which is germane to the subject under discussion: the theories of Milton Friedman. As a self-styled Libertarian, you extolled these theories. Here is what real Libertarians think of them Milton Friedman Unravelled [PDF][^]: In common with their Keynesian colleagues, the Friedmanites wish to give to the central government absolute control over these macro [economic] areas, in order to manipulate the economy for social ends, while maintaining that the micro [economic] world can still remain free. In short, Friedmanites as well as Keynesians concede the vital macro sphere to statism as the supposedly necessary framework for the micro-freedom of the free market. You understand nothing of that which you parrot. There's a blockage in the Gentlemen's Rest Room. Don't forget to roll your sleeves up.
