No, I love to fly. I even like airline food. If you are afraid of flying then ask the person next to you if they don't mind you talking to them during the rough bits. Channel your nervousness into talk. Hopefully the person sitting next to you is compassionate and will listen. regards, Paul Watson Ireland FeedHenry needs you

Alot of people made plans before the war . . . like George Zip. It was at that moment that I first realized Elaine had doubts about our relationship. And that as much as anything else led to my drinking problem We did come back to the states, I tried a number of jobs . . . well, I could go on for hours, but I would probably start to bore you. I really couldn't blame Elaine... she wanted a career. _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. Talk about things of tomorrow and the mice in the ceiling laugh. "Well, if this thing really does fall apart, at least the death will be instanteneous." I suppose it's an unorthodox view, but seriously, if the plane is shaking and you seriously think there is something wrong with it, there are only two possible outcomes, either you get to your destination in one piece or you die. There is absolutely nothing you can do to affect the outcome either way, so all you can do is sit, relax, and enjoy the ride. Of course that comes from a person who is not afraid of flying.

There's probably more risk of getting killed in a car accident on a freeway than in a plane blowing up or crashing. Unless you are one of those hyper-travelling types who are flying 10-12 times a month. Even then, car accidents have a higher chance of occurring. Regards, Nish

The rattlesnake round up was a short time ago, so the rest of the nation should be well stocked in antivenom again. :) The way I figure it, you can learn of all the dangers around you everyday and you can either be frightened to take a breath every morning and take a shower (speaking of one of the most dangerous rooms in the house), or... you can be satisfied that you take every precaution that you can, and just pay enough attention to give yourself the best chance possible in an emergency. And everytime you hop into a car... you are hurtling down the road in a tin can less than a meter between you and other traffic all at impact speeds that are deadly. Your best bet is that all of your safety mechanisms in the vehicle work properly and any accident means you only walk away with a cane.... And remember that you are sharing the road with drunk drivers, folks misusing their prescription drugs, youth convinced they will survive anything and can take any chances, suicidal wildlife, VB programmers, and VSS proponents. _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. Well, you're gonna be in for some surpises if you watch the second season, but then again, it's your choice. I think it was a great TV series and I loved it. Not all are going to ... (same reason).:) regards, Mircea Many people spend their life going to sleep when they’re not sleepy and waking up while they still are.

Think of it as just a bumpy road, which in fact is all it is. Turbulant air is just like driving on a bumpy road. Just as cars are designed and built to handle bumps (shocks, etc), air planes are designed to handle turbulance.
