Cover your feet!

Yes, even if he cleaned his feet in Lysol and put clean socks on that were dried on a hot enough temp to kill every known bacteria. I can't stand feet.

My girlfriend is out of town for a few days, so I went for dinner alone tonight. I sat outside, enjoyed a few brews, and had the good fortune of sitting across from a couple of knock-out English ladies. :omg: Well...not exactly knock-out...here's the situation: After they sat down at the table next to me I gave them a quick glance. They were both looking really good (this is pre-beer mind you! :) ). Out of the corner of my eye, I scanned one of the ladies. First the face, nice! Then went south, very nice! Then went down to the equator, very very nice!! Then I made it to the South Pole, the feet. Ugh. Open-toe sandals revealing a deranged assortment of toes. Crooked toes. Toe hair. Yellow-ish toenails! X| :sigh: :( That really ruined it for me. Is this a common reaction, or am I a freak?

Well: I don't care about people's feet. I would speak up if there was some medical condition that I thought should be looked at by a doctor, but that is all. Then, I don't usually look at people's feet a lot. My girlfriend's toes are nice to look at, trimmer and all, though I am under the impression that they are slightly crooked. They somewhat don't match each other. I find that interesting, and it makes me to want to kiss her feet and all. My sister hates feet in general and her own toes in particular. She loves her daughter's feet though (normal). I've had the same discussion with a couple of friends a few months ago. Out of the 10 people there, 6 felt the way I did (it does not really matter unless the feet are bleeding and or covered in blisters), 3 felt like you did, and one felt like we did, with one exception: he would dump every girl who painted her toenails. Red? Bye. Blue? Arrividerci. Nailpolish? Have fun without me. Weird, weird, weird. So, you are not a freak. :)

I think maybe you have become a tad spoiled and/or superficial as are many today. Imagine how many wonderful people a person could meet if the person was blind.... :)

Oh, don't get me wrong. A blemish would not prevent me from engaging in a conversation with someone. My story is purely from a "hubba hubba" point of view.

No you are not a freak. It's this attention to detail that makes you an excellent programmer.

I get cranky because I have to shave my face. If a girl doesn't want to shave her toes, I perfectly understand that.

Now that's the only portion of your rant that's relevant. Yellow-ish toenails may indicate she needs to go to a doctor and check that out.

No that's normal if they were as bad as you say. Crooked can be cute and is more common than straight toes, particularly on woman who wear ill fitting heels regularly, but toe hair and fungal nails are off the chart. I go by the basic rule of thumb, anything hiddeous that the person has control over and could change is just disgusting. Anything they have no control over but choose to not hide is admirable.

Yeah that's pretty bad. I wouldn't be caught dead like that, especially in the summer time. When the polish chips, I get them re-done. Just go in every few weeks, it's pretty simple. Although I'm starting to dream in Korean...

I have to agree with you. Just because you paid for a pedicure does not mean your feet are eye-pleasing. I have weird shaped feet that when I wear open toed sandals it looks like I only have four toes (my pinky top is lower than my big toe bottom). So I keep them covered mostly. I also hate having my feet touched or having other feet touching me. If my husband touches my leg with his foot in bed I have an automatic reaction to kick my leg away. Even if he has clean socks on.

I've heard a few women say the same thing about their feet and others, I've always been curious about this foot thing, it seems to be more common than I would have thought. (I of course have perfect feet suitable for foot modelling I'm sure although a little callousy on the heels ;) )

Hey you have to let them breath once in a while, perpetual polish is very bad for your nails.

It depends on the severity of the trashing. Toothless one-eyed people with smashed noses and recurring nightmares aren't exactly "normal." ;P
