OH FFS! Really? This is why we can't have nice things. EVERYTHING has to have a battery in it, be rechargeable, and WiFi connected?! It'll be on a few tables for a week and then the land fill! What's next? A :elephant:ing pencil sharpener!?!? Simple things should be left SIMPLE!

Dave KreskowiakI agree: I use a mortar and pestle to grind the pepper, then it goes in pinch pots on the table. Much easier to get the amount you want and no :elephant:ing batteries to go flat.

Ah! So! I see the idea, but you aren't taking it quite far enough. You shake a salt cellar to dispense salt, yes? So what this needs is a "shake to charge" system. Given that the dispense is motorised, quarter of an hour of shaking should provide enough charge to dispense salt for one person (and run the WiFi for a while). :-D
