I had just the opposite experience with your site. Came up fine the first time I hit it. When I refreshed the browser, all the tables were strangely arranged. I agree, though. If the browser can render it fine one time, why not all the time. "Those that say a task is impossible shouldn't interrupt the ones who are doing it." - Chinese Proverb

Yeah. Heisenbugs are the absolutely worst. I can understand them in a C/C++ app, but here nothing's different! Cheers, Tom Archer "Use what talents you possess. The latest version of NS works fine, but Opera and FireFox both have the problem with my site. Oh well. I spent quite a bit of time on it and even had some web people crawl over the code. They all said they couldn't find anything wrong with the HTML. *sigh* Cheers, Tom Archer "Use what talents you possess. Ok After this discussion I installed ie2 (from firefox) and started using it. One complaint so far. I check google in the searches toolbar. But whenever I search it still turns up results from steadysearch. What on earth is steadysearch and why would I want it over google ?!:) \edit Ok looks like hitting enter sends it to steadysearch and using the search icon takes it to google. Still this doesn't look so impressive. \edit " Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill ? "

Hmm, with all the talk and praise about Mozilla Firefox I thought I would give it a try... First impression: What a shitty browser, and most websites look like crap when viewed with it, including codeproject X| Well, it might do some things better than IE (wonder what things) but as long as it renders pages the way it do, I wont waste any more time with it for now... I've had trouble in Firefox with the File browse form control. I never took the time to look into because the script had limited use and the guy just used IE instead. I figured IE probably let me get away with something I shouldn't have been doing, but it still gave me a bad taste, and I haven't tried since. Maybe I'll wait a little longer. :) BW The Biggest Loser

Well, Netscape's problem with rendering used to be related to nested tables (it would even screw up the background color on cells). I've never used Firefox, but if I were looking into it the first thing I'd look for is how many tables I could get rid of while keeping the layout the same. BTW, when are you gonna send me your book? I've already bragged to my new coworkers about it, so it's like I have to deliver the goods now. :-O Jeremy Falcon

The only problem I have with web development is that there's too much mystery too it. Sort of like VB in that it does so much for you that when something doesn't work you don't seem to have a lot of control to find out what's going awry. I give the web guys/girls all the credit in the world. It's no easy task. Cheers, Tom Archer "Use what talents you possess.
