Nah, bullet in the head, and then leave the rotting corpse in the middle of the rink so that every time a skater passes it, the judges are reminded not to screw up anymore. New idea - at the NEXT Olympic Games, put her head on a pike and put it at the entrnce to the olympic village. There have been times in the past when (for example) two downhill skiers tied with the same 2:26.44 time (again for example). The resolution of the timer is only hundreths of a second, so there is no way to determine who won. Also, they can't have them ski again because then you could blame any difference on exhaustion from the previous race, conditions, etc. Because of this, they have (a few times), given out dual gold medals and not given a bronze. This has ocurred with the silver as well. I'm not sure about the bronze. Brigg Thorp Software Engineer Timex Corporation

IMHO, any sport worthy of the name should have some means of breaking a tie. There should be a winner, dammit! (I even take exception in College football (American) when a coach ends the game with a tieing field goal. What a wuss. There should be a rule that in the event of a tie, the first team to reach that score is the winner. ) "Thank you, thank you very much" Elvis.

Well, it looks like the IOC awarded the Canadian pairs skaters the gold medal. I guess the Russians got to keep theirs as well. Good for both of them...this was a messy situation. This got me thinking...how many gold medals are produced for the Olympics? I assume there is a fixed number of them, for situations when people tie for the gold. But, what if the IOC orders too many of them. What happens to the remaining gold medals? Just a thought. Brigg Thorp Software Engineer Timex Corporation

Next thing you know, there'll be something on the news about one of the oldest judges died while having sex with one of the female skaters. Finally it will come out that Michelle Kwan was found crouching at the side of the bed, holding a whip and with one wrist hand-cufed to the deceased's ankle, muttering something in half english and half taikwanese about how she was THIS CLOSE to getting a gold medal when the old bastard croaked. No. Sometimes I include farm animals in my stories. Besides that, topics fall of the visible end of the list so fast that you have to take every opportunity to make an impression. I can tell that you want to join my fan club (that would be, like, four or five people), so I guess that means I have to set up a web site for it. Okay, I can hang with that, but only if we also have archers firing onto the ice from the cheap seats, too. Goats. OMG!!! It's harsh but at the same time you're kinda right. Why don't we add this to your list: - People on welfare when they could work (lazy SOBs). I wouldn't kill them, but at least don't give 'em money for beer and cigarettes! Give' em food stamps for milk and bread. And they'd have to work too (pick up garbage in the streets, etc...) Do I take this to mean old people, mentally retarded ( not VB programmers but the real sick ones ), cripples, etc.. Darwin basically says that you are obsolete after mating and rearing your young to where they are self supporting so I guess anyone over 40 is a fair target. Hey why not have a world wide contest every four years ( we can upstage the summer olympics ) and have everybody fight another person with the winner getting another four years and the loser getting killed. Do it by weight/gender like boxing. We could solve a lot of problems like that - hunger - energy - over population. Let the winner have all the losers money and property and we could also redistribute the wealth ( kinda like the Democrats like to do with taxes ) at the same time. Every 8 years we could have a big party and no killing ( except for those that really deserve it ) to let the population catch up with the killing. Fat people get killed automatically as well as those wearing glasses ( we can weed the gene pool like this see ) and anyone with an IQ lower than say 115. Short people are goners also. Man this could be fun. Richard If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. - Pudd'nhead Wilson's Calendar

I can see you have really thought this through. Also (1) Gays and Lesbians are not successful at reproducing so they should be included as well. Also (2) white peoples skin doesn't seem as useful for sun protection as brown and black people. So lets eliminate them as well. Also (3) People with brown eyes have never appeared attractive to me thus they are less likely make good mates, so they should go as well. I noticed short people in your list, whilst I don't disagree, why not include excessivly tall people as they are difficult to clothe and often have big feet. Is there anyone left ?
