I specifically did not say that so either you are being way too emotional or dishonest. I'd love to have a civil conversation but you seem to be taking this too emotional. Sorry for the experiences you have had. But that does not diminish my experiences, and as I already stated, nor do my experiences diminish yours. Have a good day.

listen to the entire speech, or just got your information from some right-wing "news" site. It was pointed with "if we did nothing at all to control the spread".

No, because this was after Trump had already started doing things. There was never any "if we do nothing." Remember, he shut down travel to and from China and Biden called him a xenophobe? And then later towards election time Biden kept claiming Trump didn't react quickly enough? Anyway, let politics stay in politics.

How about every red state treating this like the common cold? Never shutting down, or, now, opening up way too early with no mask mandates?

I do find it interesting that how people see this virus tends to be the same as others in their political party. I hope someone does a serious study on that. I do find that interesting. Your language is a bit over the top, in my opinion. No one is treating it like a common cold. Every state has had shutdowns and that has never happened for the cold, but I believe I get your point even through the hyperbole. Where I live, schools opened up in August 5 days a week and there have been no major issues. I have gone to the movie theaters and not had a problem. One of my kids works at a grocery store and has been in public since day one. We have gotten the virus but it was not big deal. Other people at my work have gotten it and recovered quickly. My point is, from everything I experience I can see that the virus is not as big of a deal as others are making it. Of course, that is not to say that some have not been impacted greatly. So, there are 2 sides. One side that thinks Covid is severe enough to shut everything down and hide until it is gone. And there might be some science to back that up. And then there is the other side, those that have actual experience (the best kind of science possible) to say that we can get back to normal and still be fine overall. Neither side is denying science. Both sides are picking the science that makes them feel more comfortable. But all this talk of the other side being idiots or denying science is just nonsense.

What reality? The one where we were told millions would die last year? Or the reality that masks are good, or wait, they don't help much, or wait they're essential, or wait, not so much, or wait, they are mandatory? That reality?

What benefit or motive does the right-wing have to be against vaccines? Or what are you suggesting the right-wing is denying? I know lot's of right-wingers and nearly all of them want the vaccine. You are claiming right-wing craziness but without some explanation you sound like a left-wing screamer with no facts. Can you expand on what you mean?

Thank you for proving my point.

I don't think you understand your point then. If all we told people is to use parameterized queries but did not explain why, the lesson would not be learned as well. Explaining how non-parameterized queries can allow someone to hack your db is magnitudes more valuable than just telling them to use parameters.

Actually, it does refer to standing up. Standing up is supposed to keep the meeting as brief as possible. When done right, especially when in the US and using offshore developers, standups are very important.
