Great feedback - thanks. My motives for querying this are really based on point (2) - I don't want unneccessary business entity proxies being duplicated in the WS consumer/client; I actually have a leaning towards binary serilisation and its great to hear that it addresses all concerns.

The initial namespace System.Configuration does not contain those classes.If you add a reference to the dependency "System.configuration.dll" (the exact casing) then... voila the missing classes.

Hi, VS2005 is still BETA. I also have some craches while working with the VS2005. In my opinion MS should release a BETA3 insted of the final, because the IDE is still instable. I don't have access to the RC, so I can't say, if the IDE of the RC is more stable. André
