telling people to do what's right is a never win situation. You might get %10 of the population to follow that. The only way to trully change behavior is with incentives (ie, lower taxes creates more desire to work because they get more of the benefits of that work as well as allows them to spend productively into the economy). For that matter, the education thing is severely overblown. The fact is that the incentive to get a good education is directly tied to the economic benefits someone will see after they get that education. How many people do you think would study to be a doctor if doctors got paid minimum wage (not many). It's all about the incentives on the individual that make people do things on the large scale.
GetVolumeInformation can be easily changed and does get changed after formating. I got a good suggested at ms newsgroups... using Win32_ComputerSystemProduct. Its a class that is designed to uniquely identify a computer. So far so good. Alex Korchemniy
Serial numbers are notorisouly unreliable. You might want to look into the machine SID. Search MSDN for it. I think it's the first 96 bits of the local admin account's SID. RageInTheMachine9532 "...a pungent, ghastly, stinky piece of cheese!" -- The Roaming Gnome
> VS 2003's L&F is the best, IMO. I like the look, but I'm not too sure about its feel. The classview sucks in large projects, with its constant updates, which is really annoying eventhough it's in the corner of my eye. -- Pictures[^] from my Japan trip.

Compuware DevPartner. Excellent tool (but expensive). VS.NET 2005 will also have nice code analysis tools. And Rational have their own (also expensive of course). Probably, either: 1. I will hit this limit when most users do, and gmail will upgrade my (our) account. 2. Order by size, click the checkbox, click the "delete" button. Yes, even I am blogging now!
I've had it on IE, but not enough to worry me. After all, there are a heck of a lot of us trying to get Bob's attention ;)
