Sometimes Pros: Ctrl + C instead of Ctrl + V Very confident that they're pressing Ctrl + V.

However, we will extract all relevant features from your pictures, and use them as training data to our Photoshop AI. :-)

Fan switched offLooks like this site is now running like an electric fan whose power is turned off. The fan will rotate for some time under its own momentum, before coming to a stop. Why I get this inference is that usually spam articles used to vanish after being reported by 5 users. However, now we see spam articles not vanishing even after 25 users report as spam. Looks like no daily maintenance of this site.

Job boards - dice specificallyOn another note, a number of jobs get posted in some groups of Telegram. (Not sure how much Telegram app is prevalent in the US, Europe, etc., but in India, Telegram is not so uncommon). I am a member of a group called "Remote Jobs", where number of software jobs get posted almost everday.

Switchboard operators...Have heard that AI has given rise to a new job called Prompt Engineer. Or, is there already an AI to replace such Prompt engineers?

If CodeProject Never Existed, Where Would You Have Gone?Just a guess. Looking at the size of this community and the size of the CodeProject data centre, of which there was a photo shared sometime back on this site itself. Not sure whether a small company can buy and maintain such a data centre.

I'm not going to let such a thing happen again.
Not sure whether any of us community members can take control of this.

If CodeProject Never Existed, Where Would You Have Gone? Was learning C# in 2004, and was looking out for help on the Internet. Found CP and it had answers to our questions, and joined. On a side note, am getting a hunch that some big player (MS, Google, ... ?) will be the new owner/custodian of CP, and that it will continue as earlier, or with some modifications. (Probably MS, because this is a predominantly C# site).

Begun Backing Up My CP Articlesrep points
In some deep corner of the mind was the hope that it would one day get converted into cash. :-)

Begun Backing Up My CP ArticlesAm also thinking of rep points. They'll all vanish into thin air. More importantly, have bookmarked several articles. Now, going through all those bookmarks, and downloading what I feel are important, is also a time-consuming exercise.

Eliminating old booksOld books are of two general types: 1. Programming-language specific 2. Language-agnostic like Algorithms, Maths, OS theory, etc. Type 2 books are less likely to have expiry dates, IMHO. (Of course, fiction, history, etc. books are of a different realm altogether).

CSS is awesome. While I still don't quite understand what's 'cascading' in CSS, agree that it has a transformational magic which brightens up a bland HTML page.

Where dem benevolent peeps be?1. I take maths classes for high school and intermediate level kids. Not without a touch of pride do I say that two of my students have been raised from 45 percent score to 90 percent score in their school maths. And are on the way to becoming independent; they now call me only for really tough problems. 2. Run a YouTube channel for teaching Sanskrit for middle and high school kids. A few months more for monetization, but many kids and parents regularly give positive feedback. 3. Book reading of traditional Indian scriptures, in Sanskrit language, and explanations in my own Kannada language, to a few of my classmates. In fact it looks like 24 hours is not enough per day. There's so much work for the next hundred years, and I am nearing 60.

I know whether to laugh or cryPerhaps if you had used the pseudo-synonymous word for 'compiler', i.e., 'interpreter', is there a likelihood of having elicited a positive response?

The most disturbing thing is that it's asking for login and password, which I am NOT going to provide them.

The Story Behind Ode to JoyIn this context, about 40 years ago, I used to hear a similarity between the three composers Beethoven - Bach - Mozart and ... The Trinity of South Indian music (also called Carnatic Music) - Thyagaraja Swamigal, Muthuswami Deekshitar and Shyama Shastri, in the Tamilnadu - Andhra region. These three were prolific composers, devotional lyrics. Same timeframe, around 1650 to 1850.
