I would recomment http://www.opencascade.org/[^] because it is a full blown Solid Modeling kernel supporting Boolean operations, Nurbs and Viewers with pan/rotate/zoom and best of all it is free! Maybe you have the same problem I had when trying to connect my camcorder to my laptop. It just wouldn't see it, while it did on my other PC. As it seems, with SP2, Microsoft changed the Firewire software to operate always on S100, the lowest speed, what my camcorder obviously didn't support. After downloading this patch[^] everything worked ok. Also make sure your firewire ports aren't firewalled. Arjan

This one rocks Advanced serial port monitor[^] You can run it on the same machine as the machine which port your are trying to monitor, just run the monitor on the port first en then the actual program et voila, you can see all the data going in and out! Arjan
