  • How to make a EXE in windows
    B Brandon X12000

    Here's how to make a simple .exe (application executable program) in Windows, copy this source to a file that will call main.cpp

    // We will declare our header files as our first column
    #include // Declare namespaces as the second column
    using namespace std;

    // "int main()" serves as the starting point for our program
    int main()
    {
    cout << "Hello user!" << endl;

     return 0;

    }

    Compile this and go to your project's folder and double-click on a folder called bin and then double click on the folder called debug. If its not in there click on the other folder which is called release, if you managed to accidently compiled a release version of your program. And there it is, your first made .exe file.:cool:

    Anybody enjoy the band Duran Duran with members of Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor? I have 5 of their albums (yes, I'm a huge fan): - Duran Duran [1981] - Rio [1982] - Seven and The Ragged Tiger [1983] - Astronaut [2004] - Rio (U.S. Album Collector's Edition) [2009] I'm a 16 year old teenager and a lot of people find it astonishing that I like them, I understand why. To me Nick Rhodes the keyboardist makes such unique sounds, especially on "Lonely In Your Nightmare," "Hungry Like The Wolf," "Of Crime and Passion," "Tiger Tiger," and "Taste The Summer." Simon LeBon has such a unique set of words in his music as the vocalist, recall in Hungry Like The Wolf he begins with the terms "Dawn in the city night as a wire, steam in the subway earth is afire." To me these underlined words are pretty cool what he says, also in Lonely In Your Nightmare. Does anybody else like them or how unique they are? :-\

    Wouldn't coffee or generally drugs be a kernel driver, since it affects your system. Drugs to humans like Drivers to machines.

    Does not sound too healthy, I eat mostly a diet of beans, sandwiches, while going to the Gym to do weight lifting...so yeah, Lol (no pun intended). Even though I try to limit how much caffeine I take in to my system and how I make it (I add so much coffee grounds, the coffee tastes like dirt, even after a few creamers and/or 10 tablespoons of table sugar), since it can make me dizzy, really tired, go to the rest room a lot, overly sweat, makes me jittery, you get the picture.

    Is there anybody who just craves or is "addicted to coffee" as a software developer, computer/system programmer or just plain "programmer." For instance, you may pause a project briefly just to brew and sip a cup of Joe. Like you cannot live or cannot survive a day without thinking about having a craving of this drug?

    Well everybody can contribute, or the most voted languages that many people think of at the top of their heads, it would be nice if all languages ever created was programmed on the service.

    OriginalGriff wrote:

    And who is going to pay for the servers to compile all this code? And for the compilers themselves?

    That's a good question, there are some people who might charity for the service. But not me I don't have a job...unfortunately (face of shame). I think this is how Google did it, with people charity the service and by income they get by ads on their web sites. But this has it's draw backs, who wants to see a ton of ads on Code Project and then several seconds later 10 pop-ups appear and 5 other ones obscuring your focus or view on the web site element itself (I hate those). Google is like thousands of people working on several projects, services, etc..

    Would It be nice if the website could be accessible by mobile device (for example, smart phone) or computer and being able to write code on Code Project compile, run and saving them on the website without having carry any type or kind of drive around (thumb/flash/jump drive, CD/DVD, external/internal hard drive, which can be a hassle sometimes) and being to do this on the fly. I know that you can just go there and do it, but this would make Code Project more of a neat web site for software developers, granting this service to people like us.

    I deem this is technically appropriate (by the definitions of the rules), it is C++/C code. Where in the rules up at the very top posted by Admin Chris Maunder, does it directly say that is for serious questions. Keep in mind a quiz is a question, you are giving an answer. EDIT:
