My gosh! I have been "dismembered" (I guess that's the wrong word for it :) ) twice from SO because my questions were too vague. I agree that they might have been not entirely clear, but then again: Why on Earth would I post questions if I knew exactly what I was looking for? Most of such times, it would be my obligation to first look for answers using Google searches or so. Working as a lecturer in programming (thus probably not asking really off-topic questions) I felt that there must be nicer forums, and that's why I joined CodeProject a few years ago. So: thanks for your kindness, whoever who is reading this. :) A few weeks ago I re-joined SO as I wanted to get in touch with a poster and send him a message. Then I realized that one cannot send private messages on SO. ...so I ended up looking him up on Google and sent an email to his workplace instead. (Of course, many people have positive experiences from SO - these are just my own impressions.)

Somehow I doubt you could even install Virtual Server on a recent version of Windows. I remember using it along with Virtual PC back in the day. Never tried VirtualBox. I've had the misfortune of having to use VMware's ESX virtual server (running on bare metal). People at my office somehow managed to get it "disconnected" from the drives hosting the virtual machines at one point, and could never get it going again.

I'm with you. I use Office 2013 on 8.1 and never even a hiccup. I also have a media PC that I play my music and DVDs through - also 8.1. I've not used Wen yet and probably won't for quite some time. I suggest that the cause of the issues stated lies elsewhere. Life is like a s**t sandwich; the more bread you have, the less s**t you eat.

Yes, definately nice packaging for a smaller system. A lot of stuff can be done, as proven by the laptop, which does not have much more expandability. I bought a 250 gb for my laptop when my old drive failed because I really did not need more with having a desktop also. I use the desktop for backup, which is a 4tb drive, and run a smaller drive for the system. Then have some backups that are usb.
