I was told C could do more than C++ even though C++ is the "evolution" of C. In the sense that I'm programming with robots such as those in FIRST, I was also told that C is "closer" to the hardware. Are all of those true? Mind if someone tell me why he/she prefer C over C++? I'm so confused and lost. :confused:

Evolution of versions Windows. From 1.0 to Vista I noticed they left out Windows ME. Everyone I know who used it before said it was possibly the worst OS ever. I've used it for many years and am using XP now and I've never noticed anything wrong with ME. Is there really something wrong or is it just me. (no pun intended):cool:

I'm actually surprised that no one mentioned "C++ How to Program, 5/e" from Deitel, ISBN: 0131857576. I thought it might be a good book since it has diagrams and such, and plus, Deitel books usually have thousands of pages (I don't know if that's a good thing). What book or web page did you learn C++ from? I need suggestions because I just don't know where to look X| Thanks in advance. I'm currently eyeing on "The C++ Programming Language" by Bjarne Stroustrup, but I don't know if that's a good book.

I've had it for some time and tried 4 different kinds of deodorant: Right Guard, Right Guard Gel, Old Spice Red Zone, and Axe Phoenix and none seem to work. I went to my doctor but he didn't smell anything but almost everyone else does. Whenever I take the train or go anywhere, people are always sniffing and occasionally I hear people say I smell behind my back. I've tried everything, changing my clothing, towels but nothing is working. Please help, its already ruining my social life and I don't want damage any further in my life. I need help looking for online bookstores that sells used or new books. To be specific, I wanted this book from Deitel that teaches C++ How to program 5th edition. Using AutoScreenRecorder 2.0, you can record and play back animated events, ranging from a series of mouse clicks to a streaming online movie, as an AVI video file. AutoScreenRecorder lets you choose to capture a region of your screen, the active window, or the full screen. The downside is that you won't get audio with your visuals. Still, that's a valuable trait in a freeware tool. I'm not advertising; it's a description of this program I wanted but is there a program with audio? I don't mind if I have to pay for it; it's for work purposes. Thanks.

According to this webpage, they predict that there will be more and more of Linux platforms on pcs and servers. I know this is a prediction but there's been a growing trend of it and will it soon cover every enterprise out there? It is not just a prediction but there has to be some trend or statistics to even predict it. With that being said, will a growing number of Linux users hurt Microsoft? Microsoft makes most of its cash on Office and Windows, I believe. And now a days it is pure innovation and very different from Mac OS X. /ends sarcasm I'm not hating on Microsoft but they just doesn't add new stuff, not saying it's going to be neccessary for the casuals.
