And the angels sang...."Tim Tams!"The chain the OP is referring to is called Cost Plus World Market. The packages I buy here in Los Angeles are labeled Arnott's Originals, and they are clearly Tim Tams. Cost Plus sells the regular ones, the double chocolate coated ones, and the caramel ones. I like them a lot.

PC DecrapifierI don't think it will try to connect to URGE unless that's set as your default under Media Guide. Select Media Guide instead. That fixed the problem for me.

How can you get voted down for offering to buy someone a beer!?!
Probably by referring to Los Angeles as "La-la Land."

Online Music Radio?I've been a Live365 member (www.live365.com[^]) for years and have been very happy with the service. There are lots of stations and the sound quality is very good and getting better as more stations switch to higher bandwidth and use of mp3PRO. I'm not into Christian music but am sure this genre exists, and there are probably a number of subgenres (Christian rock, Christian metal, etc.) You can listen for free but the ads are pretty annoying. I pay for a year at a time and it comes to less than $4 a month, I think. Well worth it, IMO.

An innocuous thread…Exactly. You will find very little real science fiction on TV or in a movie theater. Real science fiction is in books. I grew up reading Asimov, Bradbury, Bester, Heinlein, Clarke, etc., and still think about stories I read decades ago. The stuff that passes for science fiction on TV is mostly pretty bad and is quickly forgotten. If you haven't read science fiction, you don't know what you're missing.

Anyone for a nice cup of tea?Well, yes it does depend on a lot of thing, like how you make the coffee, how much coffee you use, how much tea you use, etc. If you look at charts of caffeine content, they specify a range and tell you the cup size. The average for a typical cup of drip coffee is at least twice the average for a typical cup of black tea. I don't know anybody who makes percolated coffee, and honestly don't consider a latte to be coffee...that's coffee flavored milk. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just not what I think of as a cup of coffee.

Anyone for a nice cup of tea?lmuth wrote: Not to get too off topic, but check out the caffine levels in traditional (non-herbal) teas. They're actually much higher than most coffee. That's nonsense. A cup of black tea has about half the caffeine as a cup of drip coffee, and oolong, green, and white teas have even less.

Selling shareware?I don't buy that at all. It's far more tempting and far easier for someone to search for a registration code that will turn what they already have installed into a full version than is is for someone to find a site where they can download the full version of the program.

Selling shareware?Have you looked into DigiBuy? I'm very happy with their service. (I use element5/share-it! as well, but DigiBuy is far better for online delivery.)

who or what killed TutankhamenInteresting, but I was disappointed that the article didn't mention taking any samples for DNA testing. What would be really useful is to compare Tut's DNA with other members of the late 18th dynasty, especially the remains found in KV55. Yet, Zahi Hawass continues to refuse doing these tests.

Tea!Sadaf and Sharzad are available at the Middle Eastern stores here in the Los Angeles area. I have no idea if these brands are available in Europe, but if not I'm very sure that other brands offer cardamom tea. It's very popular among Iranians. Stores here sell bags of "sugar plums," which is what they call little round candies that you suck on while drinking tea instead of putting sugar in the tea. They are available plain or with little specks of cardamom in them in case you want even more cardamom flavor.

Tea!Yes, I drink quite a bit of tea. I buy Yorkshire Tea, Yorkshire Gold, Typhoo, Barry's, McGrath's, PG Tips, Lifeboat, Welsh Brew, etc. When I was younger I experimented a lot and tried locally available and mail-ordered loose leaf blacks, oolongs, and greens, but now I don't bother with that any more. I like the above British/Irish black tea blends the best. I steep for four minutes, and always add milk and a sweetener. I also like Earl Grey, and buy it at my local Persian market. The brands I buy mostly are Sadaf and Sharzad, but I also pick up Twinings every now and then. Sadaf and Sharzad are both Ceylon black teas with the Earl Grey flavoring added. I steep these for only two two three minutes, and always drink without milk but with sweetener. Something you might like is Persian cardamom tea. Sadaf and Sharzad both make it. It's the same Ceylon black with cardamom flavoring added. If there's a Persian/Arab/Middle Eastern market around you, they will have it, as well as a lot of Earl Grey and Assam tea (broken leaf and whole leaf) for a lot less money than elsewhere.

WMPColin, have you checked out Live365? (http://www.live365.com/[^]) You can listen for free but have to endure annoying ads. For very little money you can become a preferred member, meaning the ads go away, you have access to all stations, and can listen to mp3PRO stations using their player. I've been a member for a couple of years and have been very happy with what they offer. I like classical, new age, ambient, space music, hard rock, metal, surf music, guitar instrumentals, and they've got stations that play what I like.

Bobby Fischer Arrested in JapanI was heavily into chess two decades ago, and remember reading a great book about the 1972 match. His games were brilliant. If you're really interested, here's a long article about Fischer that explains what's weird about him. Actually, weird is the wrong word. He's a fantastic player, but obviously has some severe problems. Bobby Fischer's Pathetic Endgame[^]

Alistair Cooke dead at age 95I was sad when I heard the news. I used to listen to his "Letter from America" every week on the BBC's shortwave broadcasts years and years ago. The BBC changed their schedule and then stopped targetting the US some years ago, so that came to an end for me, but I still have many fond memories of listening to his weekly essay.

ShareItI've used ShareIt! for years, and have been happy with them. I first signed up with them when customers were sending me Eurocheques, which I couldn't deal with. My primary registration service, though, is DigiBuy. I still use ShareIt! as a backup and because some customers like to deal with a company that has an office in Europe. Most of my customers now choose online delivery of the setup file, and DigiBuy handles this flawlessly. There's just one item number for my software. Customers go to one page and select a license option and a delivery option. Regardless of whether they choose online delivery or postal delivery, they receive a download link with order confirmation. What I like so much about DigiBuy is that uploading the software and setting options like how soon the link expires is handled completely by me, and the options go into effect immediately. So, when I release a new version I upload it and the next person to order gets it. With ShareIt! there are separate item numbers for all my license options. When I tried to offer online delivery through them, I found that I had to send the setup file to them and they had to install it on their server. They changed things so that customers always got a download link and couldn't select postal delivery. Straightening this out took a while because of the time difference between California and Germany. Apparently doing what I do with DigiBuy isn't possible, you need to set up separate products with separate item numbers to direct the customer to the right order page (for online or postal delivery). I didn't want to deal with this and so use ShareIt! only for customers that want postal delivery. I really like the way DigiBuy handles this sort of thing much better, although they do take a larger cut than ShareIt! does.
