I had a different experience at my JB (Miranda). They're usually quite knowledgeable in their areas and have always been attentive (except when they're really busy). JB also has cheaper price than EB, KMart or Target but YMMV. Though EB sometimes gets titles that are not stocked everywhere else.

Really? A 3 is not likely to be vandalizing attempt. It is possible the person who voted accidentally clicked the wrong value and changed his/her vote later (I'm not quite sure but I believe you can change votes on articles).

There is a high possibility this is what the client exactly requested. I once had a client asking for a website made of 100% images to represent an office. Sometimes you just do what you gotta do their ultimatum is.

Is it wrong or is it a step towards the betterment of life? Aren't there other European countries with even more "lax" working hours? Economically it may prove to be unwise but I am "work to live" than "live to work" kind of person.

Sounds more like an issue with the Telerik controls more than the ASP.NET classic per se. These controls do produce a lot of garbage on the page though.

var is used in LINQ extensively so you do not have to create a new class for each LINQ statement that returns a subset of properties from the object being queried(or a new combination from several objects) , e.g.

var result = from employee in employees
select new { employee.Id, employee.Name}

This way you don't have to create a new class containing only Id and Name, but you still get the benefit of strongly-typed LINQ result, i.e. you can do

result.Id

and

result.Name

We can all discuss about benefit of var vs. declaring a variable type explicitly (i.e. var dataReader against SqlDataReader dataReader) till the cows come home and won't go anywhere. I think the benefit of var in this case is very small (if any), and if people don't want to use var for this I'm fine about it.
