funny i read your post just today. this morning i lectured a group of statisticians "VBA in Excel 2007". i was told by them and their boss that they _already_ knew programming, familiar with macros in excel 2003, and just needed to learn the 2007 way for tasks they were doing, plus how to do complex structured sampling for election statistics, in VBA. lets just say if-then-else was a fascinating concept, much better than what they get in excel formulas. ( ! ).

Has anyone ever managed to clear the MS Access (2003) sync list? Under Tools > Replication > Synchronize Now... I get the window to choose the location of my replica. Now due to numerous attempts, my list has grown rather large, and I haven't found how to remove entries or how to clear it. The correct entry is the second one, and this requires users to have to change their selection. I've actually made a VBA button that uses a hard coded value to synchronize sans the dialogs. There's gotta be a way around this. (and no, I'm not willing to make a new database and import stuff.) thanks in advance. (i hope this is the most relevant message board)

We here at Intercollege, Cyprus, are working on a fairly big project for the Ministry of Education. Our Dev team mostly consists of desktop/business applications and some web developers. We have a very small team (of two people), who are what we call our "multimedia developers". As most projects dealing with the Ministry, our deadlines are extreme and we are constantly looking to outsource some work. Can anyone here suggest good places and/or people to help us? as a windows developer, i use visual studio and thus my environment is windows xp. since i work at home and at work, i'm still forced to use windows xp. (not that it's bad) but i always have a dual boot into some fresh linux distro (openSUSE 10.3 and waiting to try ubuntu 7.10) on my laptop, cause i always like to play with those, but never get the chance to fully use them. my downloading machine at home is with openSUSE 10.2 (gonna get updated :)) and it also acts as a full time VPN server, web/ftp personal server and handles local routing/filtering. uptime exceeds 1 year, and runs marvelously, also it plays the movies at home. conclusion: i know XP all too well, thus i work faster with it. i work with XP and all my programs are designed for Windows. other software i use (Adobe Suite, 3Ds MAX .. ) aren't available in linux. since i'm also a gamer, linux ain't for gaming. thus XP.

hey guys, i wonder if anyone has an easy solution for this one ;) i have to configure a computer to use separate internet connections per application, under Windows XP i can only do that much using the ROUTE command, and honestly that worked for me, up until certain IPs started to change and well all hell broke loose. so does anyone know of a program (or anything appropriate) that can force a program to use a specific interface/default gateway ? for instance: make Firefox use a wifi and IE use lan, or specify the accounting software here to go through the VPN and all other traffic through normal default gateway. windows firewall can restrict per application, put it doesn't do what's needed. suggestions? thanks in advance!

sure :) to find all the files in a folder, and do something with each file (like copy them) i used the "For Each" statement. For Each sfile As String In My.Computer.FileSystem.GetFiles( .. so sfile is a string with all the filenames located in the specified folder (in my case, My Documents) My.Computer.FileSystem.GetFiles(My.Computer.FileSystem.SpecialDirectories.MyDocuments, FileIO.SearchOption.SearchAllSubDirectories, "*.*") or could be anything, like My.Computer.FileSystem.GetFiles("C:\Tatata") then each file was given the command to be copied to "C:\Lalala" My.Computer.FileSystem.CopyFile(sFile, "C:\Lalala") and then ends the loop: Next i hope that helps.

i recently bought the HP w2207 and i highly recommend it. a) there's nothing like 1680 x 1050, great space and for developing i find wide screen very appropriate b) high contrast ratio means i can turn down the brightness (all the way) and everything is still clear, easy on the eyes. c) the stand is very flexible, and big plus for my desk if u ever saw it. but for developing i prefer many monitors vs 1 big one, since at work i have 3x17" and i fit my programs nicely
