Cable? Why? I watch 1080i HDTV over aerial, not a drama.

If it's possible to install unsigned/uncertified video drivers on 32-bit Vista, that means bypassing HD DVD DRM is a matter of hours for capable dude... Or your system in this case is unable to play HD DVD in full resolution.
gnk
All Vista drivers MUST be signed and certified with Microsof (that's a new Vista security model to protect DRM from hacking). If MS certifies driver which causing problem, who is sharing responsibility for that driver?
gnk
...and what are you doing now? new win64 apps?

Region Code maybe? All (most) DVD players allows changing Region Code five times only. After that it will play just DVDs with last set Region Code (on PC you could use DvdRegionFree app to avoid the change, but stand along player is hopeless in such case). VCD/CDs do not have such "protection" at all. Your description matches this possibility pretty good. Cheers. gnk
All right, I read carefully, still it's a discrimination you excluded from the pool people who drive tanks! ;P gnk
So, do you think if I own Audi TT Quattro or Subaru Impreza WRX STi (4 wheeled wehicles) I should say I own a truck or SUV? Maybe you also consider Lamborghini Murcielago or Bugatti Veyron as SUVs or trucks because they are all wheel drive cars? Not all 4WD/AWD cars are Toyota Landcruiser/Ford Explorer, please make your mind and pool quiz clear. gnk
Great??? What else did you use? It was "great" comparing to ms compiler (QuickC). Both of them were far behind of WatcomC++, ZortechC++, HighC++, TopSpeedC++.... Borland C/C++ compilers all the time were cheap, buggy, fast compiling tools, produced fat exe’s, nothing more. gnk

And look what that means for MS really: Sun's VJM does not cost anything for end user, but MS will be forced to pay for distribution license!!! Unbelievable! Federal judge rules :omg: gnk
Actually, an offset to Zip Central Directory structure (at the end of a file) should not be longer than DWORD, but a decompressor can ignore ZCD (this info seems to be redundant), so main requirement is to keep each data chunk less then 4 GB. :suss: gnk
