Yes, but don't the hamsters have some weasel friends who could write a EULA? :) Another idea was much better, of course, but went nowhere: black CP t-shirts (preferably with pocket).

Not so Soapbox, internet censorship and the FCCVasudevan Deepak Kumar wrote:
how do you guys plan to tackle the following:
In the US there are laws on the books for all of these things, and none of them require a Department of Government Censorship. But if you want one in your own country, then go for it. Oh, and take it to the Soapbox.

Sirius satelite radio - any other converts?codemunch wrote:
My main annoyance of satelite radio is the problem with signal. Indoor signal reception is impossible.
Doesn't Sirius give you the option to listen online?

Anyone do regression testing? We're looking for a product to help us test new versions against a list of bug fixes, etc. Anyone here do this? I'd appreciate any tips or suggestions. Experience with real products would be great.

This sucks!Brian Shifrin wrote: Why is MS playing games and hidding extensions? Maybe a better question would be, "Why doesn't your code log run-time errors so you can track down problems like this?"

Presidential library burned.Marc, this is the most pathetic reason for not knocking Dubya that I've ever heard!!! I'm sure every one of the lost astronauts would say that Rob has a right to criticize whenever and however he chooses. I'm not talking about taste here, I'm just talking about Rob's right to free speech. I suppose, according to you, we should also be gentle on Dubya on his birthday, maybe Christmas too? Gimme a break. With a President as stupid as Dubya, I think everyone should pitch in with more Dubya jokes. Maybe when we're laughing, we won't think of what an idiot he is.

Nice StoryPaul Watson wrote: Reminds me of jerks who walk out of restaurants without paying. They think they are so clever and The Man for giving us the slip. They also think the restaurant covers the cost. Except they don't, the waiter who lives off tips does. I had a walker just once, cost me a whole weeks worth of tips. From that day on I kept a close eye on the exit door and had to stop a couple people in mid-flight. Disgusting. Exactly. And the next person who runs into that salesman will probably wonder why the salesman has such a sour attitude. The consequences don't just stop with that one encounter - it probably affected many people, all in fairly unpleasant ways.

Nice StoryYes, he probably did lose his job - right AFTER he had to pay for the rest of the memory chips. Nice story? I don't think so - it made me depressed that the twit didn't think of the consequences.

What we are and what is this universe?Megan Forbes wrote: Otherwise it seems that proof is all around us, in every beautiful thing we see. Equally we can see evil every day, and don't have to look too far to find it. One thing I always find surprising is that people are more than happy to believe in the evil supernatural, but question the good. Asking me to prove something that we have both agreed is beyond our comprehension is ludicrous. Do I believe? Yes. And I always will. I wish I could believe like you do. I would really like to think of my dead mother and father in heaven, waiting for me. Then I think of the five-year old African boy gradually going blind because a worm is eating through his eye, and all the children in Africa and other parts of the world, and how much they have to suffer. If there is a god, and he lets this happen, he can keep heaven to himself. There is simply no way to reconcile the notion of goodness with what "god" allows to happen in the world, unless you're living in your own mental version of heaven on earth. Go to Africa. Then tell us how beautiful the world is.
