Agree it's annoying. Probably the main reason for my excessive usage of: CTRL R+G - remove unused references and sort the others. CTRL K+E - offically "code cleanup", but for me at least: seems to do R+G and K+D for spacing things ...choice of each mostly dependent on mood.

You don't need redux at all. We use reacts in built context and it's simplified the code hugely without needing the extra weight of redux. Functional components are the way to go, but learn the state model as it is different to classes. As for the stand alone? Somehow, every once in a while, Outlook seems to detect I've written something in French and the squigglies will adjust themselves accordingly (allowing me to right-click to place accents, etc). At other times it remains completely oblivious and place squigglies under every word that doesn't happen to be spelled the same in English. I cannot find any sort of on-screen indicator as to what language it thinks I'm currently working with.

It has to do with capture, where we grab the value of i by the use of assignment into n before launching another task. There is nothing magical about using a variable named n... we could have called it george. What's important is that the current value of i in the for loop is captured before launching the task. If we had not done that, the for loop would complete execution, setting i to 11 before the first task was launched. That is what is meant by closure.

Ah yes! I had forgotten about that. I saw that with a Java app. The OS Virtual Memory was mapped unto the same drive/folder where the application log was being written. So after the log had been writing for a while there was no more virtual memory. Delete the logs and the problem goes away. Quite annoying and unexpected problem.

Well yes, hex is written in upper case. But this is a GUID, which is frequently stored as a text string, and is case-sensitive. Google for upper/lower case GUID and you'll find all sorts of pain; some systems generate GUIDs in upper case, some in lower. For those database systems that have a field type of GUID, most will return their text form as upper case, but not necessarily all do. It seems these days that unless you get into a pricier printer that most of them are junk. I have a Canon image class that was a steal, since it was a floor model and it is amazing. But it was a $400ish printer that I got for less than 1/2 the price. One note on printers that I've learned over my 40 years (yikes!) of using them, some are really sensitive to the paper when it comes to feeding. It's not necessarily the cost of the paper either, I've just had combinations that don't work. The other thing is humidity. Really dry or really humid weather can change the paper just enough to cause issues. The rollers and slides can cause issues, but should last longer than what you have. They can be a real dog to get to on small printers to clean them correctly. Failing that, it's still under warranty; send it back!
