Can they renew the patent? There are people who pay because of the patent. If it is possible to renew wouldnt they? It seems silly not to if they were making money off it. Sorry if its a silly question I dont know much about them.

MS Action Pack SubscriptionAck! X| In just under a few hours, alot of sites had it posted in thier cyber deals section. Usually they dont last very long if it gets to many hits like that. If the package still interests you, I know MS has discounts on this package around the holidays frequently. Usually around 199 instead of 299. Not as good as the the 99, but still decent. Best regards, Mark

MS Action Pack SubscriptionNew keys are sent from what ive read from other forums when you renew. The information is likely on Microsofts website. In fact my own question I originally asked is likely answered there as well. Im just to tired right now to read it and go through the whole process. It would be nice to know if anyone has joined any of thier programs and how the experience was. I know if you try to do the deal to get all the software and not renew you will get burned. Not following through with whole subscription process would be like paying money for pirated software. It no better then downloading from the net. It wouldnt surpise me if it didnt expire like a trial edition all together if you didnt renew. So if your intentions are not within the spirit of the program its not good thing. My original opinion on subscriptions were very negative. But under the right conditions it seems like microsoft may have done something decent for folks who have to pay for multiple machines anyway. In the long run it would save a great deal of money.

MS Action Pack SubscriptionI think if you have your own buisness you will have no problem to qualify. You should get a confirmation by email if you are approved. It is a yearly subscription so you will have to renew every year. However, If you have your own buisness and such it will work out cheaper regardless.

MS Action Pack SubscriptionIts posted at the very top. I used the bold key for ones that seem to stand out. The Microsoft Action Pack Subscription is restricted to resellers, consultants, value-added resellers, value-added providers, system integrators, developers, system builders, hosts, service providers, and who sell Microsoft products or provide solutions based on Microsoft products and technologies to third-party customers.

MS Action Pack SubscriptionWas bouncing around the net and saw over at overclockers.com they had a coupon code for microsofts action pack subscription. 200 dollars off with promo code MHQ062. This brings the grand total to $99.00. http://members.microsoft.com/partner/salesmarketing/partnermarket/actionpack/actionpack_standard.aspx[^] This looks like a pretty good deal. Anyone ever use thier subscription service? At the end of the year when you renew what do they send?

Kids and coffeeI dont drink coffee but I have tried tea. Didnt like it very much. It didnt have any real flavor to it. Honestly it tasted like dirty water. Have not had it again since. I drink alot of juice tho. A beer or 3 if its extremely cold. I love those freeze mugs. Cheers

Am I wrong in thinking that....You could always answer them one last question and then at bottom of it write that you can answer any additional questions they have through a personal consultant service or any other contract work for a small fee. A question on the article seems fine but what you describe starts to sound like they may be taking advantage of you.

CRT or LCD?I use a Samsung LCD and it is alot easier on the eyes. It also opened up a great deal of space as well. I dont get ghosting, trails or swimming text either. Play all sorts of games just fine. Crts never really gave me headaches like the others but definatly alot of fatigue. If I Use one for just a short time it makes me extremely sleepy. Doesnt happen with the lcd. -Mark

Should I or Shouldn't I...I havent had any problems with vs 6 on xp. It loads alot faster then any of the older versions of windows and is alot more stable. If you do decide to install it, you may want to shut off indexing and many other items that are not needed. You will notice a huge performance gain. You can switch the windowsxp theme to classic and it looks exactly like win2k. This is the first thing that gets taken care of after an install. Like many others the child color scheme just hurts my eyes.

If I get one more of these User Info requests...Why such hostility? The suggestion I ommitted is used quite frequently. It may be a bit overkill for codeproject, but it was only a suggestion. Almost every password authentication service ive ever used has had a friendly or a secret name to gain acess to the original when you sign up for it. This friendly name is usually only 5 characters and not even encrypted. IMOHO its poor practice to send a password in a way that anyone on the web can request it. Regardless if the requester does not recieve the actual information. It would be extremely unerving to Joe User to check his mail and see 5 email stubs of someone requesting a password when he has not even logged on the net for 2 weeks. All he knows is someone is trying to get his password and it isnt him. Im beating a dead horse here. Its not uncommon or unrealistic practice at all. It stops many users from getten worried or upset that they may have been compromised. You and I know it means nothing. But Joe user doesnt. 1 simple step eliminates a great deal of paranoia.

Ugh. He's backThis is just a suggestion since it seems to annoy so many people. There could be an additional form you had to fill out to have the password sent. For Instance you would need to put in a 'hint' password to obtain the original. This is usually something stupid that most people remember like the name of your dog or something. If its correct then the request is sent. It should cut down the false requests since random people cant just click it.

Slammer.wormGetten pinned on port 1434 really bad. Firewall is doing its job but still annoying. Its been being blasted all night long. This isnt exactly a new worm. It annoys the hell out of me that people STILL havent taken care of the patch...

Microsoft takes out patent for .NET APIsI saw this yesterday posted at slashdot but didnt want to post it here in fear of a repost. I wonder if this will effect Borlands Sidewinder project to any extent.

Colossal Colon kicks off 20-city tourSome models can be great educational tools. However in this case it seems as if this was a total waste of funds that could have been better spent elsewhere. Even a computer generated model that you can fly through with a camera is likely cheaper then what this model cost. Perhaps I just dont see the advantage of a model of this size vs the standard size most education facilitys provide.
