I have 24 months (6x4month co-op terms) of experience, and 20 or that was in software development (I figured I'd try this whole "hardware" concept: it was not for me). Anyways.. most companies i've talked to see that I'm a new grad, and view co-op experience as "monkey work" where the student doesnt do anything. So they dont consider it part of the 3-5 years thing. Which kind of defeats some of the purpose of being in co-op to begin with! Sub domains are fairly easy to implement, most servers these days have nice GUI interface to do so. Just like the lockout back in '94, there still might be a season, albeit a shortened one. Terms of agreement could be reached by January and a short four month season could be run. However, don't hold your breath. As much as it is difficult to sympathize with the players who earn pretty large salaries, there isn't a sinlge owner who had a gun put to his head forcing him to agree to those salaries. Gary Bettman and all the owners have dug their grave and now are trying to place the blame on the players. Remember folks, this is a lockout. That means the owners have decided there is to be no hockey. The players would still be out there at camps right now and we would all be anticpating the season starting, but it is the owners who have decided that is not to happen. Fortunately there is a Junior hockey team in my home town and I'll be going to their Saturday and Sunday home games this season. I or one am for Instant Replay… or Hawk Eye as it is called in tennis where the computer generates a replay of the ball digitally – very cool. I think swimming is another one where umps should be allowed to see the under-water cameras that we see. SO MANY ILLEGAL TURNS :) … oh well the USTA is debating on if they should implement it or not. If it's MSChart, the Active-X COntrol that comes with VS6, I think it's redistributable. I forget the ocx or dll it's in, but if you do a dependancy trace you can find it.
