Talk about raised hackles. 'Lean practices' is the latest buzzword to hit where I work. Practically every manufacturing station has a green/yellow/red light tower used to indicate their status. Some moron in the hierarchy above my group had the bright idea that he could do this with the software groups as well. For several months, he took over the software bug management process, trying to shoehorn it into some notion of lean practices. We then ended up spending weeks fixing 'bugs' that were really enhancements that were going to be addressed in future releases anyway, while 5 minute patches languished because we weren't supposed to work on them. Fortunately, the whole thing eventually died out.
