I am little bit rusty in IDL, but I do not think enum inside of interface is valid syntax (granted that VC6 compiled that). Compile in VC6, use OleView on the resulting tlb, my guess is that older MIDL just silently moved that typedef out of interface definition during compilation.

Unfortunately not at this time. As opening the IMG/(ISO) - file with WinnImage and extracting only those .txt-files gives the same result. -- Rainer

Hello Mike, thanks a lot for your answer. :) So it looks like this is "by design" but not "by desire":(( . Because if you have several projects using some well tested "common dlls", you usually otherwise don't need these in debug and release mode, while debugging one of your apps. BTW, don't expect too much in the way of general purpose fixes. SP5 was primarily issued to fix issues with SQL Server 2000.
