Thanks. Has anyone tried the 3rd party ones like Syncfusion?

Using rdlc report viewer with .Net Core (Blazor) -
Using rdlc report viewer with .Net Core (Blazor)We have some rdlc reports, which I present on a web form report viewer. I've used .Net Framework for all our live apps, so I'm not familiar with all the new tools. I've been trying to find a way forward into Core, but can't find a solution to the report viewer. It seems Microsoft abandoned this feature. I've Googled, all I see are 3rd party libraries which cost. Am I stuck on Framework? I've even tried exporting the report to pdf, and using an iframe or div to display, but it's messy, and overflowed somehow. There are no page controls, etc.

File transfer between two laptopsI used a product called LapLink long ago, with special blue or yellow cables, depending on serial or parallel.

Reference non-core dll from core appWe are using a group of third party webservice dlls in our apps. I have been trying to develop a .Net Core version of an app, but as soon as it hits the non-core dll, it throws an error loading one of it's dependencies.
Quote:
System.BadImageFormatException: 'Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Services, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'. Reference assemblies should not be loaded for execution. They can only be loaded in the Reflection-only loader context. (0x80131058)'
I have no control of the webservice source, so I can't develop a core library. With all the push for Core, I find it hard to believe nobody has found a fix for this. There are a ton of third party libraries out there.

Don't update Visual Studio to 15.8.2I'm not using Core yet, so no problem?
My apologies for the previous sig block. It's been ages since I posted anything on here.

Anyone here uses mobile payment / digital wallet systems?I use Apple Pay every chance I get. With the Watch, I don't even take the phone out any more. Faster than punching in a PIN. I wish Walmart used it.

First ProgramsWrote a Vax Basic app that cycled 4 LEDs on the VT100 keyboard. Slowed everyone to a crawl. Figured out how to access memory on PETs. Changed pointers in my source code so it read 10 REM 10000 END but ran everything in between.

Internet Explore/Edge and network adminsWe allow multiple browsers, but one enterprise app will only print via IE (not our fault).

DOS timestamp vs Explorer timestampIt's the CMD window. Clock is correct, new files are ok, just ones from before time change are different in CMD dir.

DOS timestamp vs Explorer timestampWow. That's a lot of work. Appreciated. I'd have to apply that to each file in the folder. I might just get them to turn DST on manually when they run a script for now.

DOS timestamp vs Explorer timestampI'm on Win10, but they are all on Win7. As example my C:\ shows Windows folder 02/11/2016 10:40am My DOS CMD window shows Windows folder 02/11/2016 09:40am Edit: also Temp folder is 15/11/2016 11:53am in both. So it appears to only be off for files before time change.

DOS timestamp vs Explorer timestampI never noticed this before. Some of my users have shown me folders in Explorer have one time. The same folder in DOS CMD window are off by 1 hour. DST happened recently so could be involved. I've googled and found mention that the timestamps are supposed to reflect that. But it should be consistent. New files have identical timestamps, so it's just existing files. Also, any workaround to get the DOS window to match timestamps? Scripts are feeding bad data.

That's a first for meI just got a call on my work phone from a mobile in Chad (Africa). :omg: They hung up when I answered, so I figure it's a really wrong number rather than a telemarketer. Most telemarketers use fake local numbers for Canada.

Can I use TFS or GIT without putting project code online? We'd like to start using source control and sharing projects again. I've tried looking at the web pages on TFS, and even created an account. It seems like our code would be uploaded to a server somewhere (which the boss doesn't want). Is there a local repository source control option? We are using VS 2015 and 2013.
