Do you know of and can recommend a Speech to Text program that would work for coding. Or, is just impossible to do that sort of thing?
VB6 conversions to C#, VB.net
I'm 74, going on 75. Yes, there is maximum age discrimination in the industry. It is one of the things I have nightmares about. They don't wake me up, however. I go to bed around 10:30, and then have a set schedule to be awakened by my need to get up and go to the bathroom. Once at 12:30, and once around 3:30. My wife, like yours, falls asleep in a minute or so. She snores, sometimes so loudly, it wakes her up.
VB6 to C# conversions at a modest Cost. :)
I had a boogie. I had to keep the volume at 1 to stop from blowing the rest of the band away. I really liked it, but as I left the bands because of all of the "Drama", I sold it. I still play at home, though on a little practice amp.
I have 4 guitars, a Gibson Nighthawk (my favorite), an Ibanez Artist, a Gibson SG TV that I got in 1965 along with a Fender Twin amp for $400.00, and a Gibson EB0 bass. The Twin is long gone, yes, I was an idiot. I traded a Fender Mustang for the bass at a guitar show. :( I played in several different semi-pro cover bands, we got paid sometimes, starting in 1975. We did 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's rock, rhythm, and blues. I would recommend to only use a luthier. DIY will never come out as good. BTW: Your Amp and pedals have as much to do with your sound and playing style as the guitar.

You missed the joke.....

You floated that on out there, didn't you? I used to in my prime, but now I'm just choice.
Wonderful Terry Pratchett reference, and that's The Truth! :-D
LinkedIn is good, as far as I am concerned. In a moment of madness a few weeks ago I joined Facebook, and I am getting forty or fifty aggravating emails/notifications a day. :( I am quitting today.
Sincerely and incredibly sorry for your loss. I know it is no comfort, but remember all of her troubles, no matter what those might have been, are behind her now. It is you and her other loved ones that are left behind that have to suffer. :(( :rose::rose:

Me too! RIP :rose:
I wish them luck. I am still fighting my Homeowners Insurance company from Hurricane IDA 2+years later. :sigh: There is NO way to prepare for a Hurricane. Take it from me I have lived through many hurricanes in New Orleans.
Blown Away...
Coke, or coffee with sugar does a better job. I have about seventeen extra keyboards just in case. :sigh:
I didn't do it, I swear.
I don't remember how I stumbled into CP (Yes, I am very clumsy). But it is the best thing I have done in the last couple of decades. Almost everyone here is friendly and very helpful. But watch out for the bad puns they are real groaners. I check the News, highly recommended, and the lounge every morning. Glad you are here; you found the best of the best. Except me maybe. :)
It's a random chance universe and we are all just riding waves of probability.
Going on 75 in a few months, I believe I have you there :-D
Wine gets better when it has a chance to Age.
Just reading today's news, I discovered that C# will soon pass Java in popularity, according to TIOBE. My question is regardless of "popularity" I would like to know which language is most desired/required by employers looking to hire someone? Just saying...
Friday 13th?
The world I grew up in was New Orleans, not New York. Not the same by any measure. We were taught tolerance, and respect. I deplored the racial intolerance as well and my family and friends did too. I grew up playing with black kids in my neighborhood and no one there thought anything about it. By the time I was in high school, Gays and Bi-sexual induvial were accepted here as well.
This topic has had such a MAJOR response, I am pretty sure someone else has replied in the way I am about to. Here's my 2cents anyway. 1) People can't help how they are made. They should be treated with dignity and respect. However, they should not push the way they are made on anyone else. 2) There is a big stink here about Trans-gender male athletes participating in women's sports where, due to their genetic makeup as male, they have a decided edge. 3) Most of this is due to the liberal media pushing the concepts mentioned in the original post. 4) I am neither conservative nor liberal. I believe people should only be treated/judged based on what they do, not anything else. 5) Political correctness is a crock. 6) This is absolutely, definitely NOT the world I grew up in. :sigh:
I feel your pain. Two years later I am still making repairs to my house due to the damage caused by Hurricane IDA. The Insurance company screwed me, grossly underpaid my claim and then went bankrupt. I have had to pay for the repairs myself. New Roof, new sheetrock in the interior from the roof leaks. I had a hole about 3 feet in diameter in my living room, and 5 or 6 smaller leaks through the rest of the house. Then there are the twisted and ruined wood floors, two ruined Oriental rugs (reproductions) that need serious specialty cleaning. Two exterior doors. Sheetrock dust all over the furniture which SWMBO has me cleaning right now and moving it back where it was. :(:mad::mad: :wtf: :sigh: :sigh:
If the politicians and generals had to be on the front lines, there would never be another war.
