Annoying browser behaviorgo to the Edge settings, search for copy/paste, then change the setting "default format for copy and paste" (may not be the exact wording), to "only text".

Is there a Firefox add-on that allows for any cookies associated with a tab to be deleted?there's another solution to the problem: use a private session when browsing those news sites. As soon as you close the session, the cookies are automatically removed.

Dear high rep mems, think again how you will treat low rep mems....No. No! Respect is given. You can only lose that respect. But when you meet new people, you have to respect them. Imagine a world where everyone you meet for the first time treats you like shit because "you haven't earned their respect yet". So: you treat people with respect. Always. Trust however is earned. so please, don't confuse respect with trust.

EbooksWhy is everyone here assuming right away that he's trying to steal? There are some sites out there which offer free ebooks. Because let's face it: reading books on the computer monitor or even worse on a small pda display is not fun. Those sites know that and hope that if you like the ebook you buy the real one.

Website Ads done rightIf they're just simple links, then I don't mind. But what I really hate is those ad-links which pop up the ad when you hover the cursor over it. I often use the mousecursor to follow the 'reading spot' when I read the text in webpages. Or I use it to mark the lines I'm reading on. So I constantly move it around while reading the text, and everytime I 'hit' such a link the ad blocks exactly that spot I'm currently reading (or trying to read).

Right way to delete a pointerAlways NULL the pointer after deleting it. Otherwise you could (if you're not very, very careful) try to delete the same pointer twice, which will result in an access violation. Deleting a NULL pointer however is perfectly safe.

Downlevel browsersOnly to download a newer version of the browser. So websites offering such downloads should work with even the very oldest broswer in existence.

Have we become such cowards in the west that we'll let them walk over us and destroy us without a fight?
I haven't heard that they're walking over us. And I also haven't heard that they're desroying us. You're mixing here terrorists with islamic people. Those are not the same. Or do you think all christians are the same as the pope? If that were true, I'd leave church immediately! Also, I didn't say that the editor of the danish paper should be fired. He was the one who printed those cartoons first. He couldn't know the impact they might have. And he was free to do so. But the editor of the french paper should really be fired. He knew the impact that would have, and he deliberately chose to do it. The freedom of speach doesn't include insulting religious feelings for no reason, just for the "fun" of it.

The editor had the courage to stand up to the bull-boy tactics employed by the islamic morons and his cowardly owner fires him for it.
I don't think so. He only reprinted the cartoons. And as an editor, he should have known the impact. I find it irresponsible: if you know that these cartoons will offense many islamic people, then why print them? It's not as if those cartoons are that important. You could describe them of course, you can inform your readers about them. But reprinting them in the full knowlegde that you will only anger people, that's stupid. It has nothing to do with freedom of speach. That's almost the same as shouting "FIRE" in a full theater and create a panic that way. So yes: that idiot should be fired.
