Yes, you are biased. A good programmer can maintain his/her code no matter what language he used to write it with. Furthermore, many people used VB as their jump-start into programming...people like me. It comes down to preference--everything has it's uses, just because it doesn't suit yours doesn't mean it's worthless.

I agree. Nothing much new in terms of gameplay except for a few new gametypes and 2 new weapons. All the weapons from the original UT have simply been remodeled and tweaked...and the rocket is still the most spammed(overused) weapon. The engine is very beautiful though: even one of my roommates(who isn't nearly as a hardcore gamer as me) commented on realism in one of the maps.

Can someone possibly tell me how to get my situation working...? I'm trying to get some ports mapped to my computer in my dorm at school. I'm using XP home and in network properties there's an icon that represents my network card and there's there's an 'internet gateway'. I right click on it and adjust the settings and I added a port to a gameserver that I run sometimes. The game server works fine but when I try to add other ports outsiders can never connect. I have not played MOHAA, but I heard it's single player was awesome. Most people say RTCW's multiplayer is better than MOHAA's.

This is a small problem I ran into when posting on a gaming forum of mine(planetwolfenstein's). I was updating my profile and I wanted to put something smart-alecky in my signature. It had programming lingo in it so by the time I was done it had more lines than the board's jscript would allow. I had to show the users of this board how 3l337 I was ;), so I decided to get past this checking; I copied the page and it's files from my cache and modified it not the check the # of lines in said signature. Confidently thinking I had beaten the system, I ran the page with the modified js files and caught another snag--the site has anti-leeching. CRAP! I was determined not to let this stop me, so using a packetlogger while running the page again I got the data that IE was sending and found that it didn't send the Referer header which anti-leeching scripts check for. So I started a small vb project, added the winsock control, sent the same data IE sent but this time added the Referer and thought I had won. When my success-checking routines printed out what the server sent back it mockingly said '405 Method not Allowed'. DAMN YOU WORLD, DAMN YOU!

you're lucky you can still run sice. I upgraded to xp pro a year ago and found out that the only version of it that can run on an NT system is the one that is coupled with driversuite. So I went and found that it's drivers won't work with my vid. card(geforce2mx)
