Actually Sean said that out loud in front of a huge gather of MVPs and needless to say the entire crowd erupted once he realized what he had said! :)

Both of my sons are autistic (HFA/AS). With your brother being 17, he's probably been adjudicated disabled (for SSI benefits) and a parent or guardian can step in and prevent him from making the trip that is almost assuredly a very bad idea. If he has a case worker, you might also speak with that person to find out what can be done here to protect your brother.
The problem with the last part of that advice is that the practice of "sacrificing" denotes the giving up of something of value :~

BEWARE - VIDEO IS NOT WORK APPROPRIATE so use your headphones :) Glengarry Glen Ross - Incredible 8-minute rant from Alec Baldwin[^] Kevin Spacey: "Where's Mr. Romo" Ed Harris: "Well, I'm not a leash so I don't know" Alec Baldwin to Jack Lemmon: "Put that coffee down!" (Jack looks confused) Alec: "Coffee's for closers only." (Jack thinks it's a joke) Alec: "You think I'm f***ing with you? ... I am not f***ing with you" Same scene Alec and Ed Harris Ed: "What's your name?" Alec: "F*** you! That's my name. You know why mister? 'Cause you drove a Hyundai to get here and I drove an $80,000 BMW. That's my name!" ... many many more great quotable lines from that scene  -- modified at 13:08 Friday 23rd February, 2007

Chris said it perfectly. The overwhelming majority of technical books do not teach anything you can't find or figure out for yourself. It's a simple question of time. To that point: I as an author spend several hundred hours investigating, experimenting and documenting what I find on a particular subject. I then write a book that costs in the neighborhood of $40-$50. While each individual may only find a small percentage of the book to be useful to their specific scenarios, spending $50 for the book saves them many hours of research they would have to spend. Therefore, the book is a much cheaper and much faster way of finding the same information the reader could obtain on their own.
That's not quite true. Remember that gig I did for Radiant (the Radiant Time Clock). It ran WinCE and I connected to it over a TCP/IP network. I would try the ActiveSync that comes in embedded Visual C++ 3. You could also use eMVC4 (but 3 is what I had to use for Radiant). Anyway, ping me offline if you want to discuss further and I'll try and hook you up with someone in that department if I can.
Call me old-fashioned - or just old - but why don't you just open the unit, remove it's HD and plug that into another computer. You can then browse/update that and find out the information you need. Obviously, that's a very primitive way of doing it, but maybe while you have access to the disk you can do other things to automate the process going forward. This is all of the top of my head, but maybe will get you going on some other ideas.
The scene of Manhunter[^] (original Hannibal Lector movie) in the mental hospital was filmed in the High Museum[^] in Atlanta. When I first came to the states in the early 90's I had a job close to the museum and every Wednesday I could get in for a couple of bucks to see the latest exhibits.
The software comes with the card. For example, I use an All in Wonder card (and software) that turn one of my PCs into a DVR so that I can tape shows and then rip them to my Zune.
I've never heard of anyone not having that folder installed. Email me offline and I'll help you.

Reference assemblies are installed into %program files%\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\<Product>\v<Version>. I just looked at an install for WPS files at C:\Program Files\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0 and find the following: 09/28/2006 02:49 PM 139,264 Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.Management.dll 09/28/2006 02:49 PM 294,912 Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.Utility.dll 09/28/2006 02:49 PM 200,704 Microsoft.PowerShell.ConsoleHost.dll 09/28/2006 02:49 PM 65,536 Microsoft.PowerShell.Security.dll 09/28/2006 02:49 PM 1,564,672 System.Management.Automation.dll 5 File(s) 2,265,088 bytes 2 Dir(s) 48,475,697,152 bytes free Tom Archer Program Manager - Windows SDK Compilers and Tools MICROSOFT
Yep. Used to eat Thai all the time in Amsterdam. Haven't found too many good Thai places in the US. And I definitely love cajun food.

I had a similar situation and while I know that the "correct" answer is to let the lawyers fight it out, that just doesn't heem very honarable to me. I was totally at fault so I told the lady right there not to worry that I accepted full responsibility and would make it right. She got some estimates together and I paid to get her car fixed. I'm far from an angel, but there are just some times when you have to step back and say "I was wrong and this person shouldn't suffer for it". I think fatboy said it best in response to your request for the best way to express your apologies - settle out of court and then go your separate ways.

I'm already a huge fans of his! Not many 9 year olds would have the guts to ride a bike with training wheels. Shows a lot of courage that he's willing to do whatever it takes to learn.
