Well, that's not "more to the point", because it's not me who was explaining why he failed the test questions, I was simply quoting his explanation. As I said, his moronic and dishonest explanation that his multiplication and division were "rusty" was "particularly amusing". These are the sorts of obvious questions that people with average IQs don't bother to ask.

I have no idea how to even do that... I ahve never "created an ODBC data source" in my life. All I do is add some code to create it in my asp.net code behind, then assign it a connectionstring "Provider=MSDASQL;Driver={MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver};server=localhost;database=xxx;uid=xxx;pwd=xxx"

This should work too. If not, autorun may be disabled on your system.

Yes, I was afraid that might be the case. Given that it's pretty much a standard that mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com be the same site, you'd think this would be a standard too for SSL certificates. Sigh. Thanks anyway for your help.

Many thanks for this - should be enough to get me going! I used a double only because when I began I wasns't sure of the exact keyword list, so played safe in case there were more. I agree the design "looks wrong" as it is clearly limited to only a relatively small number of keywords. I'll have a play with doing it right!
